I'm mad to find out what the story is there too. Slappy did an interview with him a few weeks ago and seems to have the low down but seems more interested in teasing those who aren't in the loop :tong Only slaggin Slap. I'm sure it won't be long before a fight is announced. It's been nearly five months since his last bout so I'm sure they will want to get something sorted pronto. That is far too long to have a boxer at his stage of his career out of the ring. Same can be said for Paul McCloskey who is at then wrong side of thirty now.
It wasn't quite a "Saviour is born" performance from Haye but it was a damn fine showing from the boy and give Ruiz a bit of credit. He got battered all night and never once stopped coming forward. Some of the flush shots he took would have taken out many a Heavyweight but the tough old ******* ate them up and tried his best to keep bringing the fight to Haye. With the worries over Haye's chin and the fact that Ruiz wouldn't lie down the potential for Ruiz to finally catch Haye with something was always there. If you want to see a real rip off try the $50 PPV HBO were spewing out last night, Jones and B-Hop have a combined age of 86.:deal
Jamie said afterwards he didn't know if it was weight or too many wars, He's just not got it anymore and I'm gutted for him!
I was pretty shocked. I had him ahead at the time but he took a volley of unprotected shots whilst against the ropes in the previous round and just seemed to give up. Which fights were shown on the PPV?
lol.no doubt about it ruiz is one tough cookie he took some nasty shots but i think if haye would of stood and traded he could of had him out of there a lot quicker. there was no spark in ruizs work i think he would of been happy just to see out the 12 rounds .
