I'm going to assume you saw UFC 94.

The complete domination is possibly the worst/best since GSP regained the "title" at UFC 79.

So, the "size" that GSP had on Penn, while a factor, if Penn was so skilled, as many claim him to be (which he is, don't get me wrong), then the fight would have been closer then it was. But it wasn't close. At all. Not even in the least. A blind man knew Penn took an asswhopping.

But, 25 pounds, (and it wasn't 25 pounds...GSP walks in, then, at 174. So 16 pounds, at most), yes a factor. But, size itself does not account for the worst beating we've seen in a long, long time. It's very, very clear to anyone that knows...well, anything, that GSP is, by far, the more skilled.

What more does he have to do? He made him quit! Q-U-I-T! Could not continue! Took him down multiple times! Took almost ZERO damage! Passed his guard like nothing! Pounded his coconut head to near concussion!

Pretty sure your logic is a bit off...step back, put down the beer/bong, and think about it.

Yes he did dominate BJ, but I'd rather watch a Penn fight over a GSP fight anyday.

Your over-simplifying this. GSP's BEST asset is his wrestling and top control. Now, the worst thing you could give to a fighter with that advantage over you is also a huge size and strength advantage too...you understand? It would be like giving Anderson silva a foot in height and 8 inches in reach over a fighter on top of his amazing striking advantage.

MMA is very complicated because there are so many different styles and skills, so judging P4P is even more of a mess then it is in boxing. But this particular point is crystal clear to me. GSP is the best wrestler, has the best takedowns in all of MMA, when you put a guy in there with him who has a weight disadvantage of over 20lbs...and yes, whether you believe it or not, GSP's naturaly body is at least 20lbs heavier then Penns, just friggin look at the 2 guys for christs sake! That makes it almost impossible to overcome.

It's not a knock on GSP at all, but I in all honesty and fairness am holding off on saying that GSP is clearly better P4P until GSP can display the same kind of effectiveness with somebody bigger and stronger then himself.

Penn's losses came to GSP, Hughes and Machida. (the pulver one aside) 2 guys who are much bigger wrestlers and the 3rd is MACHIDA! Let's see GSP fight Machida and see how that one goes

BTW, BOD made a great point about the style/weight adv that GSP had over Penn and its exponential effect.

Also Machida wasnt very green. He demolished Franklin and Bonnar at that point. But I agree BJ will probably get beaten decisively now esp. when Lyoto is throwing Rashad around w/o exerting much force.

Look I'm no GSP hater. The man is the classiest Champion to step into the Octagon. But I will say this, If he fights Silva and manages to last more than Penn lasted against him. I will give him credit even in defeat.

And yes BJ is the most exciting champion. I know Fedor is very skilled but with regards to the combination of technical skills (Stand up and BJJ) plus aggressiveness, no one applies it better than BJ in MMA at this level.

if you told BJ Penn himself he was over Fedor on the P4P he would probably disagree.

As I see it, the only one who could be placed above Silva here is Fedor. How on earth GSP is above Silva on some list I'll never know. He has to move up to MW and beat some top guys silly before he can have a decent argument.

I'd have Penn above GSP too since he actually has achieved things at higher weights. At LW he's just as dominant as GSP is at WW.
