Always been a big fan. Like everyone has said a legend of British boxing and been in some brilliant fights. Shame he never got his big shot.

makes me sick when you see fighters like ricky burns getting world title shots at home for what? a guy who fails to look truly dominant until getting a shot michael gomez.

ppl love to say moore wasn't close to world class. however he earned a top 10 ranking in ring mag at 154 pounds. he stopped piccirillo much quicker than world champions. he beat a top 10 welter in that ear guy, and stopped a future top 10 middleweight in macklin.

i think jamie moore has been an excellent fighter with great offensive skills and loads of heart. some fighters get the breaks and the opportunities. moore's been a long, hard road in his career.

Not much more can be said for the man than has already been said.

A true warrior and wonderul servant to British boxing.

Best of luck in whatever he decides to do.

A very good fighter who was always involved in good fights should have fought for a proper world title but i feel he was just below top class

Jamie was kept at domestic level far too long imo, they ,missed the boat when he was red hot thats a shame

A warrior and a gentleman. Humble in victory and magnanimous in defeat. A credit to British boxing and a great ambassador for the sport. Lots of luck Jamie Moore.

'Most exciting British Fighter of the last decade' ?? To be honest Kos, there isnt a huge list of Brit Fighters to choose from on that score .. And how can you compare Moore, who operated domestically, to guys like Hatton and Calzaghe who operated at World level .... Being 'exciting' at domestic level really means that you werent good enough. He definitely had heart and guts, but being labelled as, 'The Most Exciting British Boxer of the last Decade' when he never operated at world level is a statement in itself .... Moore was basic and had no skill, lets get real ..

Nobody said any such thing. He might not have 'dominated' but he was certainly good enough to win a legit world title.
Moore didn't get the breaks that many lesser fighters from these shores have had.
He wasn't a Warren fighter who walked into a world title fight on the back of a solitary British title fight.
Just look at how Smith, Mitchell & Burns are all closing in on world title shots. Do any of then really deserve their shots?
Stop being a ****. I seem to remember you weighing in on a similar thread regarding Clinton Woods, you *****.

    :rofl:rofl

would you say he was in the mould of 'basic slugger/pressure fighter' like Vicente Saldivar or Joe Frazier?

    Seriously though, your an idiot.
