    (Fast forward to 2:20)

A great recovery rate is Larry Holmes getting up from that Earnie Shaver's right hand. I mean you used the worst possible example to prove your point. Use the Sam Peter fight if you want to highlight Wlad's recuperative ability. It would help your argument alot better.

Personally I think his recuperative abilities are average at best.

Haye's hand speed is superior to Sander's and his power is level if not better due to David's delivery system. Don't oversell Corrie Sanders, he's not that good. In the 70s, 80s and 90s you can come up with a top 10 list of fighters who are a class above him.

Wlad took a great deal of power punches but given how frequently he was knocked down and how short this fight was, its suggests that his ability to recover isn't very good. This could have been a 1st round KO. Wlad was clearly uncomfortable, nobody gets Knocked Down several times in a fight if they are in control. Fighters who hit the canvas frequently are either nervous, hurt or off balance. Wlad was not off balance.

    This is comfortable:

    Fernando Vargas vs. Tito Trinidad.

Vargas is twice dropped in the first round but seemingly recovers enough to show his composure. The fight goes on for another 11 rounds.

Another thing, Lennox Lewis is a bigger puncher than Corrie Sanders. If he appeared to "hurt" Vitaly more than Lennox its due to his south paw stance which Vitaly found awkward.

Never the less he could bang had reach speed and southpaw stance. And thanks to Sdunek for great preparation to this fight.

YES. He could not see punches coming. Still he looked OK after the fight or KD. He just could not take balance in order because Sanders was lending repeatedly. This argument would be valid if Wlad could avoid sanders punches untill the first KD, he could not. Sanders was lending from the very beginning. Shavers could not lend a punch on larry holmes until that.
I'm not arguing that Sanders is mediocre fighter who never cared about his boxing career that much. BUT he could bang, he had great hand speed and reach, he was always dangerous in early rounds. I don't see Haye lending anything with his haymakers. Your point about Hayes superior delivery system is simply not true, first of all you can see hayes punches for a mile, you see sanders punches when his fist is on your chin. I don't want to make a point about Sanders being MEGA MONSTER, he is not but in offense department he is has his strength.

Wlads recovery rate was definately a problem but it's so long since someone actually hit him flush we don't know whether it's got better. The bulk he carries on those thin legs don't help.

If Haye were to land like that on Wlad, he would be going to sleep.

Wlad has thin legs compared to his massive upper body. I've read that his calves and thighs are no bigger than mine for example, and I weigh 180 pounds. If he had equally strongs legs compared to the rest of his body, he would probably weigh 260-265.

The fact that he doesn't like to fight on the inside and gets taken down so easily are due to the fact of his too high balance point. Despite being very strong, Wlad would be lost in sports like Judo or wrestling, and would get tossed around like a doll.

Totally agree with this. Wlad doesn't recover quick enough, if he goes down he needs the bell to help.

I'm a big Haye fan, but have Klitschko - who I believe is a good champion but interminably dull - as favourite to get the job done should they fight.

However, it would be very interesting to see how he responds to a fully loaded right hand from Haye. Perhaps his chin, always bad, has deteriorated further with age. It's hard to say, given that he's very hard to hit clean.
