When Samuel Peter is right and in shape - he's the biggest puncher in this Division. Don't let the loses fool you. The Klits hit hard - but I don't think they hit harder than Peter.
Wlad is heavier handed, but Haye is more explosive. A shot from Haye is more likely to put you on your ass or make you see stars than one from Wlad. Just like Pac is a more explosive puncher than Clottey. Clottey MAY punch harder, but Pac will put you on your ass or make you see stars way before Clottey. Haye is the most explosive puncher since Tyson.
Beating a washed up Ray Austin and a undersized Chambers shouldn't even count. I agree he hits hard but don't forget Peter is a beast with heavy hands. Since we're only talking about 1 punch hitters - he has to be amoung the top.
Tye Fields was never relavant in the division, Briggs was as recently as when he KO'd Liakovich..........
Briggs KO'd Liakovich in 2006 man... thats almost half a decade ago... Yea, a No Contest vs. a bum....Thats not a KO win...
All things considered, I'd say Wlad. I'd love to see him really open up rather than staying behind the jab so much, basically become Lennox Lewis rather than a more cautious, non-uppercutting hybrid. He'd be a joy to watch. Plus his punches are more accurate. It's alright hitting like a truck but if you keep missing or hitting the wrong areas you ain't KO'ing anyone. Haye is more explosive and faster, so I'd say you are more likely to be the victim of a flash or heavy KD than you are against Wlad, who's more likely to wear you down, then put you down for a count - as he did to Tony Thompson. Nice shout on Briggs though - wouldn't want to take one from him
