You certainly can make a case for Silva as well. He took on a former LHW champion (huge guy) and made him run out of the ring in embarrasment.
Mousasi, Fedor and BJ. Definitely look like a group of guys you and your mates could take. Oh, how wrong you would be!
He was a little smaller, you could tell that he wasnt lean as usual while Forrest was trim. Point is even if Silva was 30 pounds smaller he would have wiped the floor with Griffin. Thats how great he is and thats what p4p greatness is all about.
And of course he completely ignored it. The slightest bit of anything short of calling GSP a god and he doesn't want to even entertain the idea :deal
IMO Fedor is clearly P4P #1. GSP, Silva and Penn have their arguments in the next 3 slots. Fedor is not only undefeated but he won all his fights without any disputes. Fedor is also a smallish HW, a weightclass where there is no limits after the minimum, therefore he fought guys much bigger than himself unlike other weightclasses where size differences between fighters are very limited.
what are you getting at? that BJ Penn is better than Fedor P4P or skill wise? Why Do you believe that? No disrespect to BJ but Fedor is just a better him imo
both imo, BJ has the better boxing/standup game, and hes the better grappler of the two, the one advantage fedor has is his one punch KO power, but even then BJ has alotta pop too
Fedors takedowns are better and his GnP is far and away better. Id say Fedor is more dangerous off his back too, in terms of finishing fights. Where as BJ looks to sweep and mount. I think Fedor finishes fights in a more devistating fashion too.
Overall Fedor is better than BJ especially one thing, his killer instinct. The man knows how to finish fights from any position, his transition from striking, to takedown, to GnP, to submission is as smooth as can be. The scariest thing about Fedor is he have no real weaknesses and he has so many ways to finish you that you have a hard time trying to figure out what he is going to do next. I do agree that BJ is better at technical striking than Fedor, although Fedor is known to finish fighters with one shot KO's with his timing and killer instinct. BJ is not a better grappler than Fedor(Fedor is a Sambo champion), and BJ definitely is far below Fedor in GnP. BJ also lacks the aggressiveness of Fedor which intimidates most of his opponents while staying supremely calm and focus like no other although BJ is among the top when it comes to that as well but Fedor takes it to another level. BJ also had tendencies in the past to come in fights not being close to his best condition, when have you seen this from Fedor? I do think BJ have better takedown defense though.
#1 spot has to go to Fedor. You know it. I know it. Everyone knows it. There shouldnt be any argument over that. # 2 spot can either go to GSP or Silva. I would put Silva in the #2 spot. GSP can't do what Silva has done in his weight division. No one has even come close to beating Silva. For me this is my top 5 1 Fedor 2 Silva 3 GSP 4 Penn 5 Machida
You gotta be kidding me with taht questions. ONe thing he does better and im sure you will agree is WIN fights
That's pretty much my views on this as well. Fedor's the best until he looses..that said he's not fighting much anymore and I could see Carwin possibly beating him..or someone else with a lot of power and speed. Next has to be Anderson Silva, the only reason he's not number one is because it's Fedor's to loose and he hasn't lost it yet. The there's GPS and BJ..tough call..probably go with GSP but he needs to fight at 185 and see where he's at. Shouldn't be hard since they were commenting about all the muscle he added prior to the Hardy fight.
