fair play to him, least he can see that his performance does need work...still enjoyed the fight though it was good entertainment!!!
The atmosphere was great, first fight I've been to and it didn't disappoint. I was impressed with Haye's performance, his power and movement about the ring really brings something to the division. His style isn't too far away from a younger Wlad Klitschko when I think about it. He should use his jab more though. He gave two or three rounds to Ruiz by not using it enough
It was a brilliant night, I'm glad that he can see where he is going wrong allowing him to improve. He isn't arrogant and is an honest fighter. I hope that when he trains for the klits he is problem free and 100%
Haye needs to be honest with himself. Whilst the fight was good to watch, it was hardly flawless. Haye needs to ralise that he cannot be fan friendly every time he fights. Imo the Ruiz fight could have been far easier if he had actually boxed using his skill instead of trying to ko Ruiz. Apart from the first round i thought Haye, whilst exciting was looking at times very beatable. Haye needs to go back to basics and start to utilise his ****ing jab, because imo he has fallen in love with his power, which whilst very good, isnt as effective at heavyweight when your hitting biiger men.

True, but they where people who had never seen Haye fight before. Look at alot of Hayes cruiserweight fights (once he stepped into world level), he was exciting. I think the aluev fight was a very good disciplined performance by Haye, one in which he should fight like more often. I wasnt impressed with the Barrett or Ruiz fight when it comes to fighting intelligently.
Me to he's an exciting fighter bar the valuev fight. I hope he can find a inbetween ground where he can box smartly and skillfully but with his explosive KO power used effectivly. (with out blowng)
I see your point. Perhaps to some end he fought in that way because he was completely certain that he could more or less walk through them. If that's the case, perhaps it's not a bad thing. If the Valuev fight tells me anything, it's that he's unlikely to fight in quite the same way against a Klitschko.
Offensively it was a good show. A lot of powerful, crisp, accurate shots, only spoilt though accidental rabbit punches when Ruiz kept turning away. His jab was very stiff aswell, snapped Ruiz head back on a number of occasions. Defensively he showed some good reflexes and range control at times, and others he did get caught too often. I was particularly disappointed with the way Ruiz was landing his jab, sometimes 2 or 3 in a row, because if Ruiz can land with the jab, Wlad is going to be nailing him with it all night.
