Well if he wants to be a 'character' then he has to accept the consequences right.... and the fact is that a lot of people hate his character... i don't care how much money your earning, if you act like a dick, people are not going to like you.

I actually am a fan of Mayweather for his style... i have watched every one of his pro fights and enjoyed each one because he is so damn talented

It kills people that someone who says he's in the sport for money is able to go undefeated and display such a superbly high skill level.

Wrong. He just wants people to talk about him, period. When you're able to generate buzz, positive and/or negative, that can translate into dollars and cents. For instance, it was remarked numerous times how little people were talking about Pacquiao vs. Clottey leading up to the fight and how, roughly two months out, all the focus was on Floyd vs. Mosley. That's the buzz, the excitement, that Floyd knows how to generate.

I know yeah, and if anyone in boxing says they are not driven by the potential wealth they could earn for themselves and their families(of which is one of the main reasons Mayweather says he is in the sport because he does not want his kids to have to the same upbringing as he had) then they are simply lying, sure it can be more significant to some fighters but it is there in every one.

Its one thing not to like him and to want to see him lose. However it's a whole different story when people try and discredit his accomplishments, and falsely accuse him of ducking, and being scared, and all of that other BS.

Why does Floyd have to act like a complete tool to sell fights? or B Hop too? could it be that despite they're talent not many people give a **** about them so, they have to act up and play the villain :deal

Funny how guys like De La Hoya, Hatton, comeback Foreman, Holyfield, and Lewis never acted like complete idiots yet they are the highest earners in the game. Seems a bit strange to me:huh

Floyd is a tool, if he is this amazing nice guy that I hear about then he should go into acting cos he has me fooled - He'll defo win an Oscar IMO.

Floyd Knows how to sell a fight = FFS:rofl

This time it was not only down to Floyd though, the Mayweather-Mosley fight is just a much more interesting fight than the Pac-Clottey as the Mayweather-Mosley fight is much harder to predict than the Pac-Clottey which itself gets people talking about the fight once people start making predictions.

No one gives a **** about Floyd, yet he is the record-holder for most Pay-Per-Views sold. Good one. Try again.

I don't know why people try to downplay Floyd's involvement in generating excitement or making numbers. People say he shattered the Pay-Per-View record because he was facing Oscar, yet downplay the fact that Oscar vs. Manny did about half. The list goes on. Floyd is a bonafide superstar who knows how to get people talking.

This is obvious. Floyd is the nicest guy in the world when the final bell rings, I saw it against Hatton and Marquez. He's a smart guy, and not as much as a dick as he comes across in the media.
