Juarez was coming on strong, but he was in fact behind. Litzau's corner basically lobbied the doctor to pull the plug, and I think they new exactly what they were doing.
It wasn't clear at all, and it wasn't the cut that stopped the fight, it was the swelling. Rocky has nobody to blame but himself for the loss. No, it wasn't a robbery. He just started slow as usual, and it bit him in the ass.
it was, a straight right from Juarez opened the cut which was on an already swollen area and he kept banging at it... he should have got the TKO
All I know for sure is that this screams for a rematch, and I would be more than happy to watch these two go at each other one more time.
Wow, haven't seen the fight but Juarez' stock just keeps on plummeting. Maybe he really wasn't as good as initially thought by most everyone. Maybe it's not because he chooses not to be active, it's because that's him--he can't punch more than maybe 30 per round. It's not an option thing with him. That's how he fights. And how he fights sucks.
Nah, I actually had it a bit wider than what two of the judges thought. I think Rocky was coming on and he may have won, but his inactivity in the first few rounds bit him in the ass again.
What fight were you watching? It was the left hook that opened the cut before nady stop to call it a head butt. Juarez didn't even throw any straight right hand. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqssI9oMNR8[/ame]
Litzau was winning the fight and looking pretty good in doing so. Juarez was finally getting active but I still think Litzau was going to win. The stoppage was premature as the cut didn't seem to be a bad spot. Guessing Litzau's corner knew they were ahead and thought why not stop it if possible.
