The problem is CHB, core boxing hasn't caught on to the Internet. Before Boxrec, unless you had a memory like Ray Mitchell, they would tie you in knots about opponent strategy. These days, anyone can tap into boxrec & get the whole picture. I was astounded at a local gathering some time ago where there were a few ex-fighters & solid old fans & they were talking up an upcoming "Title" fight where the Oz fighter was fighting an ex-world champ. When I told them that the fight was for a vacant title with a little regarded organization & that the ex-champ won the title 8 years prior & 3 division below the present weight limit, they thought I was an historian. When I told them it was all on Boxrec, I spent the next 20 minutes in between drinks, writing down the URL for them. Weeks after. I was hearing, "Geez, that's a great site. I couldn't believe what's on there"

While I understand why Choc as chosen this path of being the villian, I think he's messed up the strategy. There's clear evidence that he wants to walk in Ali's shoes but when you take on a task like that, you have to be all things to all people & our culture just doesn't work like that. In the states, the white establishment were clearly prejudiced along with the right wing element, but Ali was smart enough to aim all his venom at the journo's & writers. He took them on, not the general public. Choc threw a blanket over everyone. I've got the photo of Ali standing over Liston that someone gave me, hanging on the wall in my workshop, & a women that was waitng for me to check her computer saw it & commented, "I can't stand that Anthony Mundine" I said, "He is a very very good fighter" Surprisingly she said "He's such a bag of wind, he's alway putting someone down" On another occasion, at my sisters birthday party in Brissy, my brother in law & a few others asked me what I thought of Mundine.
