Anyone else think this would be a good fight for Ricky to take - not much danger, and he can finally shut Witter's mouth?

This is the biggest stain on Hatton's career, he should of fought Witter when the fight was ripe in 2007 or early 2008. I never bought into the excuse of "He insulted me so I wont give him the fight" thats is bollocks. Hatton clearly ducked him because he would never risk his reputation as the best british fighter in the division against someone who opposes any kind of risk. Sadly it is too late now.

Hatton is overglorified, the guy has nothing left in the tank. He's basically a walking knockout and should just retire.

Roy Jones vs Hopkins was way better than this gabbage fight.I dont wanna watch Ricky in the ring again and same with Witter. His style was dependant on reflexes and he was very inconsitant.I hope he made enough money to buy a house

I dont wanna see another Hopkins v Jones

I.e 2 great fighters in their prime, now shells of what they were, fighting trying to re-kindle the old magic they had and letting the fans down

witter would spark hatton now he cant take a decent punch.
I was never really sold on witters power at the top level - after the euro run who did he stop? Harris?
Prime for Primer i think hatton would have won it. Too much strength, stamin and power and back in the day Hatton could take a shot. Witter was awkward and switching to lefty would have given hatton problems but i cant see past a hatton win.
Now its a pointless fight, Hatton should quit and Witter probably hasnt got much left either (although with witter its more his reflexes have gone)

No idea, it seems a completely arbitrary number. So, basically you have Hatton and Witter fighting at welterweight? Hatton wins, anyway, for the same reason he always would have. Witter could never hang with that level of heat and aggression.

    Agreed.

The amount of excuses Hatton came up with to duck Witter was down right outrageous; And embarrassing.

It would be a pointless fight to see now though, but then again I would still watch it in the hope that Witter would KO him.

Sadly though it ain't gunna happen unless Junior has just one leg and arm. Maybe then Hatton Might consider it.

Seems like Hatton didnt have the same amount of belief in his talent as you. If Hatton beats him why spend a decade avoiding the guy?
