Ok based off a lot of posts and reactions from this board it seems to me that a true champion needs to

Be willing to travel overseas to fight ( aimed at calzaghe a lot)
Fight fair (aimed at Froch recently)
Not badmouth other fighters (aimed at Froch)
    Not act too arogant (froch/khan/calzaghe/haye)
Have a good chin and reflexes ( chin for khan and reflexes/skills for Froch)

So with this in mind why is it people like Hopkins can be regarded as great When they dont travel, badmouth, fight dirty, act arrogant ect ect. Why is it only Euros who seem to have to conform to this imaginary list of attributes.

I like your point an odd double standard. I'd say in the case of Hopkins he only acted like this after he delivered the goods. Khan and Froch have a ways to go

Khan will be a good possibly great fighter eventually.

Froch is going to get sparked any day now.

Calzaghe was a great fighter with a shitty resume.

Ward and Dirrell are still more or less in the prospect/work in progress stage. But they've already proven themselves against he best fighters in the division and their talent is apparent.

About where Khan will be if he dominates Malignaggi.

You say proven themselfs against best yet many here count Froch as a bum and say kessler was overhyped when discussing calzaghes resume.

I think in order to be a truly great fighter you just need to face and defeat other great fighters. They don't really exist in the UK at this point in time, all the best fighters fight over in Vegas. Hopkins fought great fighters, Calzaghe generally didn't.

Would Hopkins have fought the best if they all lived in England and refused to move tho?

That's a silly question. Read it back.

This has absolutely nothing to do with discriminating against certain countries, it's just that all the big pay days are over in America. Manny Pacquiao, Shane Mosley, Bernard Hopkins, etc all fight over in America. Hasegawa is probably the best Bantamweight in the world but where do you see his recognition? It will most likely come to the fore if and when he starts fighting in America. That's the way it is. If you want to be a great fighter you beat great fighters, and they don't exist in UK...generally.

So all my points have been ignored and its come back down to more good fighters in america so everyone has to go there. That answers travelling but what about the other points.

Bad mouthing, supposed bad reflexes, and fight fair are non factors are far as I'm concerned. You clearly have a chip on your shoulder about British Boxing.

You're not going to get anywhere mate.

People here will still you straight faced that Joe Calzaghe was a stay at home champion who didn't try hard enough to fight the likes of a prime Bernard Hopkins. Even though, when Hopkins was in his prime, Calzaghe had a signed agreement through Showtime for a fight with Hopkins in America, agreed by Hopkins negotiators, and Hopkins refused to sign, instead preferring to take on the mighty William Joppy and set up the long awaited third fight with Robert Allen.

When you're dealing with people who will straight up ignore facts like that, there's no point trying to put forward logical arguments.
