Confirmed Waldron v Power 15th may for irish light heavy weight title, this promises to be a great fight..... shud be great night all around
I don't know if this has been posted yet but James Moore vs. Pawel Wolak will be on the Cotto/Foreman undercard. Ten rounder. Given the two fighters recent form or lack of in Moores case, it would be hard to see the Irishman beating the tough American Pole. Should be a good one all the same. http://boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=594951 Ignore this post if this has been discussed already.
You first out of the blocks Deno and whilst i agree with you about the tough encounter for Moore, this is probably a career defining fight if he beats Wolak he very much sets himself up for a unlikely shot at a tiltle eliminator or at least a top ten opponent if not he either (a) retires or more likely(b) fights back here in Ireland for the national crown in interesting matches against Sinclair,Coyle ,Spike or even the likes of Lee or Duddy. Its **** or bust for James.
Is the title on the line for sure,if so this will be a great fight,Two tough entertaining if somewhat limited guys.Saw Power in Limerick twice and he really enjoys the crowd down there and vice versa,Would have to give Jamie the nod on this one after a very entertaining slugging match. Rumour has it Lees opponent will be named tomorrow anyone got anything concrete?
Just done 6 good competitive rounds of sparring with marsh. A good work out for me and my best rounds where the 5th and 6th which suggests I'm fit as ****!!!! Haha got ian napa tomorrow hopefully get 8 rounds in with him. I also met kevin Mitchell today he was in with some light middle weight cause apparently he's knocking light weights out in sparring. Really nice guy by the way
Tough fight for James, Wolak is nothing special but might just be too busy and hungry for James. It's never really taken off in the pro's for James, maybe he stayed amateur too long?
Was talking to Casey yesterday- have to say he is sound out- but he was saying your man thinks he is Naz ... he is 10-0 and canadain champ if Casey wins against him in his 5th fight that would be a scalp.. and i think the writer is George Bernard Shaw
ya title is on the line, i dont know about givin power the nod, Waldron is tough and can mix it up, he wont lie down easy belive me power will meet his match on the night, sweeney v tims aswell, not sure yet aout lee yet, hopefully be named soon, really wanna know
Was talking to Don O'Leary last night and he reckons they're looking for Willie to stop Cave, then move him towards an Irish title shot dependant on some vacating going on. Casey vs. Coveney could be on the agenda at some point if things work out.
Good stuff Carlos! I hope you didn't rough him up too much :bbbHere's my top tip for facing Napa, try not to fall asleep after a couple of rounds. 'Oh whos fighting, Ian Napa? zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz :tired' Ah all joking aside it should be a good spar. I'd expect you to be able to push him about a bit though! Mitchell -v- Katsidis has fight of the year contender written all over it!
