You do have to love Toneys smack talk but fact is Bernard never failed a drug test or ever turned up for a fight looking like utter ****.

 

Toney is an ignorant, delusional cretin. He's not even a boxer anymore, he's an MMA fighter. He's got a lot of nerve dissresptecing Respected Columnist Dan Rafael, and The Living Legend Bernard Hopkins. Hopkins would beat Toney's fat ass all over the ring. Toney needed a gift to beat Oquendo. He's beyond washed up. Toney is dead on about Haye though.

How the hell is Toney the real deal? All he does is run his mouth. He's the biggest wannabe in boxing. His name should be James Phoney because that's what the **** he is. He can't hold Nard's jockstrap. He doesn't even deserve to share a ring with Hopkins. Maybe Hopkins will feel charitable and throw Toney some table scraps.

Toney is still a great personality, a really honest and funny guy.

I agree with him that Bernard is now shot, but I think James is just as shot. He looked every bit as bad vs Oquendo as B-Hop did vs Roy.

Back when the fight was being talked about, I do believe B-Hop didn't really fancy going in with Toney. Toney's natural skillset and defensive technique could have made B-Hop look a bit mechanical by comparison. I'm not saying that Toney would definitely have won or that B-Hop didn't think he could beat him, because Hopkins's evasive movement around the outside and competitive spirit would have made it an excellent, close fight, but as I said, I think B-Hop knows he wouldn't have looked good doing it. In all fairness, Toney is the more genuine old school boxer of the two. He was tougher and more fluent.

 

James Toney is just a fat ass joke who is into another game rather than boxing. How dares he to propose a fight with Hopkins?! Look at Hopkins and look at him... I don't know about the Black Russian but I hope I will never see JT again without a shirt again!

 

James Toney always insults every other fighters for bad fights yet he does not have a great fight clip in all of his years boxing. He should be concerned about himself. Bernard will go down as greater than James and so will Jones.

Nard was viciously hit in the back of the head by that cheating scumbag Jones. That illegal punch did a lot of damage. Most fighters would've called it a night. Nard is a true warrior, so he fought most of that fight in agonizing pain. He had to fight off pure instinct. Now that's what you call a real fighter.
