Having just re watched Diaz Malignaggi 2 im convinced Khan is gonna stop Malignaggi i really am .

    Here is why ......................

He has several habits that imo play into Khan's strength's the first being his left hand sits way too low , he jabs with the " low jab " rather David Haye like , when Malignaggi throws his jab his right hand comes down way too low , he also has a habit of pawing with his jab from the lower position which is a huge mistake against Khan's rear hand .

He cannot fight at close quarters , this we seen against Hatton but was even more clear in the 2nd Diaz fight , when Diaz closed the space on Malignaggi he retreated with his left hand down , upright with his chin in the air , Khan is not an inside fighter but he is a pressure fighter and will at several points put Paulie on the back foot .

Malignaggi's wide lead left hook , this may of only been a tactic used against the shorter Diaz , but its a shocking habit , he faints the jab and leads with a really wide left hook and whilst doing it he moves to the left , leaving himself wide open to that counter RH , or left hook if he throws it stood still which he also often did , like i say this is not something ive seen too often from Paulie usually but used it a lot against Diaz .

He really controlled Diaz from distance with his jab and reach advantage but every time Diaz got close he tagged Paulie and a bigger puncher imo takes him out , i really fancy Khan to stop Paulie .

    Thoughts ????..........................

does anyone really care about this fight? will watch it on ITV but wont pay ppv for it. Froch and Haye are the only two Brits that id pay ppv money for right now.

khans ppv numbers speak for them self. But in fairness to him. This is his 1st decent fight. Still wouldn't pay for it though.

Khan will destroy Malinfaggi and show himself to be the greatest fighter at 140.

Diaz has more talent than both of them imo but is just too small for 140lbs. He needs to go back down to lightweight and maybe even consider superfeatherweight as even at 135 he was always a little bit on the chubby side. He wasnt a fighter full time either due to his studies but if he gets back down and puts all of his time into his boxing career he can do it again. He held multiple titles at a young age so hopefully we will see him back in action soon. The rematch with JMM sounds good.

As for Amir v Paulie I reckon Paulie wins but I wouldnt bet much on it. Paulie is miles better than anyone Khan has ever faced and the last time he faced someone tall with speed was Prescott so finally we should get a chance to see if Khan is actually any good. If it was in the UK I would fully expect a controversial stoppage after Amir had thrown a flurry where nothing landed or something of that ilk so thankfully its in NYC :)

Khan will destroy Malignaggi and add yet another featherfisted fighter with 0% chance of winning to his resume:roll:

Because Dirt99 asked if anyone really cared about this fight?!?:huh

    And I answered that I didn't.

Then I gave the reason why I didn't care, just to clarify matters.

    Comprende?

Diaz is a lightweight who looks fat at 135 and looks even worse at 140. Paulie did a great job in 1st and a even better job in the second fight. Khan is a different kettle of fish. He's faster and bigger then Diaz. Paulie will have to adapt a lot more in this fight.

You only get a good Paulie or a poor Paulie there's no in between with him. But his heart cannot be questioned he's a true warrior and will take some putting away.

i hope i'm wrong about this as i'd like to see how khan does against maidana, but i can see malanaggi presenting too many problems to khan and walking away with a points win but i hope i'm wrong,

Khan will tot up such an early lead against Malignaggi that it won't even matter. Malignaggi's not especially fast, not an especially good mover and relies on his boxing skills where he's the faster man in the ring with longer reach.

Khan's faster, more mobile and probably much harder hitting. It's going to be a snoozer of a fight, with Khan getting a wide UD and maybe losing a couple of the later rounds when his legs tire.
