It was a kick, it's actually a topic that has been hotly debated on these forums before. People actually arguing about what type of kickboxing contest it was and whether it was full-contact or semi-contact etc and loads of other stupid stuff. The fact it has no relevance to boxing(as it was a kick) means it's of little importance. Am I the only one that doesn't find Napa that boring ? I have to say Carlos you must be delighted with the quality of sparring at the moment, Marsh being a former British champion at your weight and as good as pretty much anyone there is at the weight domestically bar maybe Munroe and of course Napa, a former European champion at the weight below and as slick a fighter you'll meet in Britain. Napa should be a great spar for you.
If only wee Ian had a dig, he'd be brilliant. A smooth operator, to get to European level without purely on skills without any sort of punch the boy done alright :good
Big ears I just wrote a big massive reply to your post and the feckin thing didn't work and I couldn't be assed doing it again on this iPhone. The jist of it was that I agree with you that the sparring is top quality stuff
Here look no one said Napa ain't good. As Steve W said he's slick as **** and made it all the way to EBU title level without a dig. And we are talking completely without a dig. I'd say he'd need rohypnol to knock out an narcoleptic. Its just not great to watch. He's no chance of KO'ing anyone, which for me at least, is a big part of boxing. The chance, however slim it may be, of the one punch turn around in a fight. Respect to the man. They don't hand out EBU belts like fairground Elmo dolls but he just isn't inspiring. That said, its a great spar for Carlos and I think its a great sign that a young lad his age and with only 5 fights keeps getting these sparring partners. Theres a lot of faith in the Jackal being mixed with a lot of ability to keep this moving along at such a high tempo!
