The other guy who reached the finals went home with a gold medal. You receive a bronze medal after losing in the semis and then beating the other semis loser. Even though Mayweather technically won a fight in order to get his bronze, he did not win a bronze medal. He received a medal just like Amere Con. Imagine if they started handing out belts to the losers of a championship match and then these guys went around claiming they had won a belt.
No. I assume that 4 people were in the Semi Final. So when thats 2 + 2. So then there were 2 people to go into the final and then 2 people to fight for a Bronze medal! The one that beat Khan got the Gold, and Khan automatically got Silver! Its really that simple.
