What is this obsession people have with black fighters?

Should a fighter fight some guy simply based on him being black?

He hasnt fought a white guy in a long time and i dont see nobody giving a **** about it or the fact that he never fought an asian fighter in his career,so why is it important that he hasnt fought a black fighter in years.

TBH, no. Just like to know if others "actually" derive a relevant point from his statement.

Why would you just take this part of the Article and make a topic? I think you were looking for this type of respone from posters on ESB. You could have posted the whole article and let people take from it what they want. Here is the whole article: According to trainer Floyd Mayeather Sr. there are fumors floating around that WBA welterweight Shane Mosley is getting beat up in training camp by his sparring partners. Mosley defends his title against Floyd Mayweather Jr. On May 1 at the Mgm Grand in las Vegas. Mayweather Sr. doesnt give Mosley a shot at beating his son. He said Mosley has trouble with black fighters and points his record, where four defeats have come at the hands of black fighters; Vernon Forrest twice and Winky Wright twice.

"I hear he is getting his ass whooped in camp. I dont know if its true, but i hear he getting his ass whooped. Shane aint never beat a black fighter since he lost. He's only been fighting Mexican fighters since Forrest and Winke beat him and hell, oscar beat him the second time,"Mayweather Sr. told fighthype.com.

Floyd Sr. likes what he sees from his own son in training camp. He says Mayweather Jr. is putting his punches together agains sparring partners.

"i like what i see in little Floyd right now. The thing i like is he's really letting his hands go,"Mayweather Sr. said.

Does not make any sense at all still. Especially when he added Oscar.

I never said you did. And you labeled his comments both racist and ignorant. If people of all races are making a similar argument, is it really racist? And if many people are making the argument it's possible that it's not so ignorant. I was watching the Bird and Magic documentry and the openly disscussed how White Americans were losing interest in the NBA because of the lack of White players in the league. Isn't it reasonable to assume that the same thing happened with boxing in America to certain degree?

Nowhere did I see a quote where Floyd Sr. said Mosley has trouble with black fighters. If he did say that he's wrong, because Shane has handeled numerous black fighters.

Shane was gonna fight Judah in 2009, Berto in 2010. So its just a question of circumstance that he hasn't fought a black fighter since Winky.

Floyd hasn't fought any black fighters either. WTF is this guy talkin about?

The last black fighter Floyd fought was Zab Judah.

I'll tell you who Floyd has NEVER in his life fought.

A tall slick black boxer with a good jab. That's his krptonyte and he knows that ****.

    Shane fought Forrest.

Mayweather talked his way out of fightin Vivian Harris, and who's Vivian Harris?

Nah, I don't report people. If the mods want to delete it, they can delete it. I won't stick in a fellow poster, people can say what they like. By the same token, we can criticize it if we like. And I'm criticizing this piece of **** thread. It's as pointless as it is stupid. Why oh why are people like you so obsessed with race???
