note to all Duran fanatics, that post was a joke.

Then gain, judging by his "performance" in the third Leonard fight maybe i am giving him too much credit.

Chavez v Terry Norris at Jnr Middle. Don King was tossing the idea of this fight around before the Whitaker fight.

Jack Dempsey vs Sam Langford. This fight was being talked about when Dempsey was the champion and I am glad it never came off.

Sonny Liston vs Archie Moore was discussed after Liston won the title.

That definitely wouldn't have been good for Archie.

Shavers vs Foreman would have been short and brutal. Massive firepower involved.

Liston himself tried to make sure the fight did not happen because he respected Moore.

"I probably won't fight Archie Moore. If I hold the title as many months as he has years I will retire".

"crushed by tyson?" Come on. George is really strong and has a great chin (Considering the guy took punches from Holyfield, Morrison, Moore, Imbragimov, and Briggs, it makes me think that He could take Tyson's punches.)
and he certainly wouldn't be intimidated... I think Tyson might be a little unsure at the stare down. The way that Tyson comes forward, given his movement, is a perfect styleistic matchup for George. A lot of fighters boxed george and didn't fight him. IMO, thats the way you beat george, you don't outslug him. Holyfield did this, Morrison, and Jimmy Young did this. don't think Tyson would run. He would certainly stand and fight, and that would be really bad for Tyson.

But there's still a thought in my mind that Tyson might get lucky to land is trade mark uppercut that would be enough to floor foreman. The fact that Ron Lyle and Young floored Foreman makes me think that this would be a war, and either man could get floored EASY.

Tyson often seemed unsure at the staredowns. Then he went out and beat people up.

I hear stories about Tyson and Cus talking about how Foreman was the wrong type of opponent for someone like Tyson, and how Tyson apparently was reluctant to face an old Foreman.

The thing with 90s Foreman though, is that I watch him fight and look at how easy he was to hit. Holyfield, Morrison, Moorer, Stewart, etc...all hit Foreman consistently. Foreman had that stiff heavy jab which could neutralize Tyson to an extent, but ultimately I just think Foreman would take too many shots from one of the hardest punchers ever. If Foreman stays on his feet, his face would still be either a bloody or swelled up mess.

yeah that's another thing I meant to mention
foreman had great heart for a man his size and weight and age. he's never really quit/be legitimatly knocked out and stopped because of the power of the punches. he's not as effective as he is over many rounds, but neither is Tyson. foreman also has never really quit on the stool when things got extremely tough. if it was Tyson takin all those punches from moorer, then I bet he would have folded like he did against Douglas. Tyson can't be hurt and come back to be effective. I think foreman can. I think Tyson would have trouble getting through that 82 inch reach with foreman's strong arms pushing Tyson back all the time. and this foreman wasn't as crazy, therefore he would use his jab more like you said. I just don't think he can get through because of foreman's cross armed defense as well. he ends up taking less punches. yeah foreman's face was really swelled up against all those fighters you mentioned but he still came back to win
it would be a good fight IMO

I rhink Moore vs Robinson would have been one for the ages.

Surely Moore vs Robinson could have happen about any time Moore was trying to get a bout with Marciano in that time frame?

    Like the Moore Olson bout?

and who do you think would have gotten massacred ?
i am not sure about this one , especially as terry norris had no problem making catchweights such as 149
