IBO is the way forward. They just need to rename their belts to "Lightweight Championship of the World" etc and it will slowly kill off the others

seriously **** off with your IBO bull****.

the same IBO that lets anyone in the top 50 fight for there belt??? the same IBO that fiddled there "unbias" computer rankings to allow Matthew Hatton to fight Louvmore N'Dou??

Do you not think it's core principles are the best of the 5? If it was more well regarded it wouldn't have **** like Hatton v Ndou happening, but it's overshadowed by the other 4

This WBC business is pathetic. Dan on ESPN has an absolute rant about it and every word is true. It's absolutely shameful that, presumably out of spite towards Bradley, they want to stop an incredible fight being made.

    What a bunch of knobs.

its as bad as the others. the IBF seems to be the only one that has rules and sticks to them.

it be great if boxing got an Abramovic. he could just go in and buy the WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF. Set up Unification tournements, if you dont want in it your out of it. would take 2 years to have 1 Champ at each weight.

the abc belt won't **** off cause like it or not the serve a purpose.Having their belts allows fighters to make more money, gain more press, fans and it gives them a chance to become a name.Would rjj have fought johnson if johnson didn't have a belt. Would taylor have fought froch if he wasn't wbc champ, or khan/kotelnik. Their mandos give unheralded fighters a chance as well. The only way to solve the mess is if fans, fighters, promoters and the media refer to the four abc belts as titles and the ring as the championship belt

    They are definitely killing boxing.

There should be 1 belt and an interim belt in EXCEPTIONAL circumstances like illness, injury etc It's bad that enough we have 4 belts let alone another 4 in each org and each division.

They are around due to history and that is why people want them. Plus the WBC belt is so pretty that I want one!

Having non world class fighters contesting ''world'' titles isn't good for the sport.

You can hardly call yourself THE world champion when there are several other ''world champions'' at the same time.

Can you really imagine some numb nut arranging his own World Athletics Championships under his own sanctioning body..... and winning the 100m himself and calling himself the champion?

Having multiple sanctioning bodies is basically that.
