    "Maybe the money's not being made off me like it's being made off somebody else,..If that's the problem, then fine. I've got a lot of other promoters calling me as of today … It's gonna look strange to y'all when I'm moving in with [Bob] Arum or [Don] King. I don't blame anybody for being a businessman. Just tell me, so I can do what's right for my family, so you can't blame me for going across the street. That's all I'm saying. ...It needs to come out now, because at the end of the day, Bernard Hopkins [has] always been his own man, and if the industry thought that I was gonna be a controlled puppet because I'm in with a big company, they're in for a rude awakening. Because Bernard Hopkins is not going to become part of the industry. Maybe I won't survive as a Golden Boy promoter. "

    On fighting Haye;

    "Don't tell me that he's bigger, he's stronger, They told [Evander] Holyfield that. You're telling me that [he can't fight Haye] because of the Roy Jones fight? So, let's play Devil's Advocate, Richard … Now you try to use the illegal hit on the back of the head to say that you won't be a part of that [a Haye fight]?"

    What does Haye have to gain from beating an old bloated Hopkins anyways?

    Wow, GB promotions probably wants to drop that shitsack after his abysmal performance (both in the ring and at the gate) last week. Can't say I feel any sympathy for him. The honeymoon between Nard and Oscar is over.

    Nothing, but he has a lot to lose if the old man beats him.

    Haye has the right to refuse Hopkins, but if Hopkins shows he can do something in HW then it is understandable.

    ****ing Nard.... He's no good as a frontrunner. He has to be the underdog, the whole world has to be against him in order for him to perform. I wonder what life is going to be like for him when he's done boxing and there's no establishment or fighter for him to go to war with? He'll have to create his own enemies somehow.

    Wouldn't it be just like him to **** up everyone's plans by beating up Dawson?

    I wouldn't be shocked to find out Bernard joins some kind of militia movement after retirement and goes to jail for sedition or something lol

    The money would have to be absolutely right. Hopkins is extremely high risk and low reward at this point - unless, like I said, the money is right. Whoever beats him is going to be "beating a severely post-prime old man". Then, if you lose to him....

    There is no life after boxing for Bernard Hopkins. The man will die in the ring.
