This one's been argued long and hard a few times as you know Ash. But just tackling the first part of your post above which is a somewhat new twist to the subject: Grange know there's money in a Mundine fight. Once they realised Mundine wasn't going to honour the mandatory with Geale, what did they have to loose in picking up the Medley match-up? There was also the opportunity for a title there til things turned to shite - and no one can blame Grange or Medley for that!
