To sum things up, Floyd did the dirty by asking for the extra poundage against a guy he was already bigger than. Marquez agreed because he's not about to give up all those months of rock lifting and **** guzzling for no money(pun intended) and no chance at least to beat Floyd(which we found out in this scenario he never had anyways) It was a raw deal and no matter whatever negative adjective you want to attach to it, it is what it is. Revisionist theories won't change that.

As for the nothing works on Mayweather theory, that is not true for him or ANY fighter. That would mean that he was NEVER troubled in a fight which is not true. He's human and beatable like any other fighter who laces their gloves up and steps between the ropes to do battle. Any success that fighters have had did not work long enough to win them the fight. There is a formula to beat him but it obviously hasn't been found....yet. Also styles and attributes make fights. Never sit there and put the god aura on the man and think he is all powerful and unbeatable, but at the same time mock *******s for doing the same with Pac.

 

What would have happened if marquez refused. If floyd came in 2lbs over the stipulated 144 wouldn't floyd have to burn off that 2lbs and be reweighed?
