Haye Talks About NOT Needing to Fight Wlad or Vitali

Yeah, heaven forbid a fighter might try to generate a bit of publicity. :-(

 

All three of them are better than Carl Thompson. Haye has been put on his ass by Monte Barrett who Wlad raped 8 years before.

 

Exactly, he's bascially stating that he wants the fight but he won't be treated like a **** by the brothers this time.

I was pointing out that the other guy said Brewster etc. beat him so you have to give him a chance. I'm just saying that Haye has been put down by cruiser punches. The Klits have elite HW power.

Only a moron would think that the Klits can't hurt Haye and that Haye can't hurt the Klits (Wlad in particular), it's a pointless debate.

 

The title of this thread is very misleading. He was asked what would happen if the fight didn't materialize in 2 years by the Sky Sports News guy and he just simply said, "if it doesn't happen in 2 years then it doesn't happen". It's a great interview by the way, Haye comes across as educated and classy.

 

He's a good talker. The trash-talking is really just to sell fights, and to be fair to him it has worked. 18-24 months ago he was only known really by hardcore boxing fans, now he is a household name in the UK and known to most casual fans in Europe and the US, if only by name alone. He's actually a clever bloke and analyses a fight excellently. I've heard him doing commentary and some pundit work for TV before and he is head and shoulders above most of the other commentators and pundits when it comes to calling and analysing a fight.

of course he doesnt need them to secure his legacy, Haye has time on his side they dont. When he says hes going to retire in 2 years time hes trying to force the Klit brothers hand, if the fight doesnt come off then so be it there is some promising fighters coming through that Haye can fight instead.:good

 

Haye is a former undisputed cruiserweight champ.
Hes a 2 weight world champion.

not a bad cv after 25 fights or so.

 

He can't secure his legacy without fighting the Klits.

They have dominated Heavy for years, and people still question their legacy.

How can Haye, who can at most hope to be the third best heavy of his era (and a short era it will be too), hope to top that?
