Showtime does that show so well. Watching the highlights of the fight, Dirrell, who was clearly nervous, fought his ass off and was beating AA, easily. In saying that, with those cameras you can really see how hard AA hits, and as great as Dirrell did, I can not imagine him having much of a chance of at all of winning a rematch.

The post fight coverage is what sets 360 apart from 24/7. Compelling stuff.

I don't agree with or really understand the notion that "it doesn't matter if Dirrell was acting, it's a DQ anyway", while taking into account how often this foul is committed and how often fighters are actually DQ'd doing in.

Pretty much the only times this sort of foul results in a DQ (or no-contest) is when the opponent cannot or will not continue. Norris-Walker, Bowe-Mathis, Abraham-Dirrell, Jones-Griffin 1.

The vast majority of the time this foul occurs, the ref either does nothing (which I can't stand), warns them, or takes a point away (Haye-Ruiz, Norris-Waters, Barrera-Marquez). There are cases, such as Lennox Lewis against Mike Acey, that are far more blatant than what Abraham did. Since Acey recovered from that illegal 3 punch combo, all Lewis got was a ****ing warning.

Whether or not Dirrell was acting is basically the difference between a DQ win for him or a point deduction for Abraham while the fight still goes on. If the punch didn't hurt Dirrell, Abraham wouldn't have been DQ'd, and the fight would've gone on.

So of course it matters whether or not Dirrell was acting.

In my opinion, Abraham's foul was vicious and intentional. He would not have thrown that punch in a fight he was winning. He was desperate, and looking for any way to hurt Dirrell, legal or illegal. Therein lies the difference between this situation and many others.

seems like a case of going out on some bull**** than losing to some judges to save face.

Abrahams routine he was use to doing will have to change now..

i would probably be called an ******* for saying that Abraham put on a good performance of being upset about his mistake on fight camp.... he certainly didn't enjoy the squeezebox and armenian songs at his party.

He notioned that his stiches on his eye was the first time in a fight....but not his first stiches....he had one on a finger.....perhaps from fishing.

froch is in tune to realizing that you can't just try and pray to be jake lamotta.
he is doing some training for his body as for movement and stamina...
    smart man.

    kesslers busy getting tougher

You can´t blame Abraham for trying to take advantage of the slip. it´s just unfortunate for him that he did it too slow...Dirrell also tried to take advantage of the clear low-blow. Dirrell slips alot coz he does alot of running..it was just a matter of time before someone punished him for that.

If you ask for it, then .............:bbb

I dont like Dirrell and Shaw as persons. They acts like victims here screaming and complaining.......... Shaw calling for Dirrell to keep punching after a low blow....and at every promoter meetings Shaw cries about leaving it if someone says the wrong thing............................:|

    Dirrell a great boxer though...................:bbb

Don't try to make Dirrell the saint and Abraham the devil, both fighters would do anything to win...............hell Ward and Froch did to, only the "Viking Warrior" acted like a schoolboy.....................:blood

Dirrell slipped because AA's team drenched the corner in the 8th round. They knew that the fight was over on the cards so they tried to mess with dirrell's footwork because they knew he would up his movement. Well dirrell slipped in that same blue corner and abraham slipped a shot in. It was dirty from the start and shows the extent abraham's people will go. They knew what they were doing. Wetting the corner wasn't intended for a DQ but was for help in catching dirrell. Dirty

Dirrell's wild swing at Abraham off the low blow had something to do with abraham being pissed. But dirrell's swing wasn't illegal and dirrell had been popped by froch (one of his only clean shots) while complaining to the ref. Still I could feel why Abraham would be fustrated. Not to mention he had never been dominated like that in his life.

IMO it's all abraham and his teams fault.

Dirrell acting I don't know. I've seen worse delusional behavior. I hope he was acting because that would mean he's fully OK. If he wasn't acting and having a nervous breakdown after feeling he was knocked out infront of all his people that shows alot of mental instability and that is not a good sign.
