Wrong. The thread, and the poll, are simply devices that will help us force fools like you to either eat crow or log off on April 18th.

One of my all time favorite lines. "This is math class. We don't vote on the correct answer".

I think it'll be late but Pavlik by stoppage.

Just too big and too much pressure. He doesn't need to be an amazing boxer to get the job done. Just consistent. There is nothing Martinez brings to trouble Pavlik like Hopkins did.

Pavlik was on "Through the Ropes" radio today. My email question got through, and he answered it on the air. Based on his two part answer, and the interview on "Inside Boxing" with his two sparing partners yesterday, Sergio Martinez is in a heap of trouble. Sergio's best weapons simply are not going to work for more than 4 rounds.

Tough fight for Pavlik. I give him an edge for power, but I give Martinez an edge for boxing ability and speed. Martinez beat the crap out of Williams and Williams refused to fight a rematch.

If he puts all of his eggs in the 'take Kelly out early' basket I think he is in for a tougher night than he thinks. I don't think he can do it and will have used up his energy. We shall see...

to be honest, it may be his best shot. kelly has started slowly in some fights...got his bearings, timing, etc and then wrecked shop. when he's been down its been early. having said kelly knows whats coming so i'm sure he's not going to be surprised if martinez rushes him.

Again, Pavlik should win by a late stoppage. His endurance and power should be the difference. Martinez is tough and skillful but I don't think anyone who can box can just pull a Hopkins on Kelly. That's a bit of a disservice to the Executioner, like him or hate him.

I think Kelly is out to prove something though. He will want to dominate from the beginning. I'd be wary of getting into Kelly's wheelhouse. Kelly is going to hurt him a bit more than those strings he was bumping his head on. I hope Kelly is working on the upper cut because if that training video is any indication Sergio wants to throw, duck then step to the side and turn Kelly. I noticed they showed him working on escaping from the corner. Much tougher to do when you are getting pounded. At least he was ducking to Kelly's left in that one.

One idiot actually accused Kelly of losing that fight on purpose in exchange for some GB money. People on this forum have trouble looking past someones last fight. Pdub did a dreadful job of boxing in that fight against Sergio. Opponents have admitted after a fight with Kelly they under estimated his speed and power. Fair play to Sergio. He has hurt Pdub and Cintron. With Cintron he was robbed (in many ways) of closing out the show because of the poor ref. Williams was at the end of the round but was still hurt in the second and he didn't do anything about it.

Problem for Sergio is that left is not a secret at this point and Kelly has been working on taking that away in training camp. His sparring parters said they could land it on occasion at first, but Kelly adjusted..... If Sergio tries for the early KO he might feel something early in the fight that will change his plan completely. I've seen that happen before....
