I'm not sure a Lee fan has anything to brag about. Your guy was nearly stopped by this fellow and if he had to go the extra 2 rounds he might well have been.
Of course I did, I wouldnt have commented on it otherwise.....Frenchie was ultra defensive throughout that fight until the last round when he nearly had Lee out of there. If that was a 12 rounder Lee was getting stopped. Barker looked **** but dont try to make out Lee had no problems with this guy, because he did and he nearly got KOed
I had the French lad winning by a round or two, the way Barker's corner were assuring him he was well ahead before the last round was very odd, as was one judge's 118-110 scorecard. Not exactly suprised though.
Lee was in no danger of getting stopped - the only people that have exaggeratted the trouble Lee was in was Barkers people to try and legitimize fighting Belghcham for the EBU title after he was almost whitewashed against Lee. To say Lee was in serious trouble in a massive overstatement. The reason Irish fans are on here like this now is because of ENglish fans like you that put other fighters down when they dont deserve it and cant see the flaws in their own fighters. Lee's ****ing shite anyway so who cares. So is Duddy and Macklin is domestic/European class and not a world class fighter by any means. Barker's just added himself to the list of British/Irish middleweights that are not going to compete at an elite level so its pointless splitting hairs between them. It seems they've all been overestimated at some point or another and won't reach what many predicted of them.
