I respect your honesty and i love lots of british fighters like froch , khan , and ricky hatton was one of my favs to watch but barker isnt that good at all you have to be honest.
I have got to be honest after that performance. Maybe Barker can come back and put on better shows and improve but for me I think it was a cashe of him being shown up the first time he fights a guy who has not come in on two days notice or is a taxi driver. I used to be a big Lee fan but got into the whole ******ed 'Lee vs Barker/Irish vs English' shite. I cheer on most Irish fighters and Lee seems a class lad and will jump at the chance of a Barker fight now.
Macklin would beat Sylvester. Has a decent chance of beating Sturm. Would be spanked by Pavlik. With the right management he can get a title for himself. It's very unfair to write him off, especially the way he has been fighting the last few fights. Do you really rate Sylvester, he has to be one of the worst champions at the moment. Jury is still out on Lee. He has the tools to win a world title, if he works on his defence on the inside. He has the skill, power and chin. His stamina is dodgy but time will tell.
Sylvester and Macklin are pretty much equally mediocre. There are better middleweights coming through. There are 5 better middleweight prospects coming through than Matthew Macklin. He might beat Sylvester but he's not going to be at the top level for any length of time.

I don't think anyone thinks he is going to unify the division. You said he is domestic/euro level and in your very next post say he can win a world title. Now unless my understanding of logic is skewed, wouldn't that make him world level. Just not elite level.
