Shane can go to toe with just about any fighter even the most steller of champs with all different styles. That alone is dangerous. Two of the guys that had his number each had something unique to stop his vicious assaulting offense. They diverted us from thinking Shane may be one of the legends of the sport. Winky has one of the most unbelievable chins and is bigger physically and Vernon at that time had one of the most devastating rights. Now Floyd has weapons in his intangibles but in this case I am talking a massive physical strength that negated the wave that Mosley brings (Evidence is his huge number of KO's).
Do not be surprised if Mosley is able to continually attack Floyd very seriously and even with Floyd countering Mosley's brave fighting against the best that are even bigger than him will come into play. He will be able to take Mayweather's punches and weaken his defense over the fight.
The special thing about this fight is after it, boxing fans who doubted Floyd will know after that either yes he was overrated or how wrong they were about him. Either way the winner will climb in status much more than any one thinks and all to face Manny. This can be or more likely lead to one of the greatest matches of all time vs Pac Man. Really it shows how amazing Manny rose from great to a legend. He already is waiting as one of the best of our lifetimes. Anything can happen between Shane and Floyd simply because the only sure and tested entity is Manny. 3-1 + is a ridiculous line which includes silly hype and a bit of misconception to Mosley's arsenal.
PBF is stepping into a whole new world the next two fights. We will see who is the best very soon. This whole scenario can bring boxing back big time. It happens once in a lifetime.

When he wants to he might be the best bodypuncher in the game.

That's why Roach wouldn't put Pacquiao in with him when Shane was begging for a fight.

Shane comes to fight period. He's done this his entire career and never ducked no one. Shane is a pro's pro. A throwback.

Moselys special powers of engagement will be nullified by Floyd, unfortunatly. Shane won't be able to get off like he did against the slow, wide open Margarito. Give Shane half an opening and he'll destroy anyone, but Floyd won't supply Mosely with such a luxury. Mosely may have some success early, but once Floyd gets his timing after a few rounds, he'll win going away, damn it all.

My fear is what flatnose just said- that Floyd will stink it out by going into his shell- and making it a point scoring affair, running away, potshotting and moving. he s fast enough to run away from shane all nite- and we all know floyd would do it too. sure - if they did fight-= i think shane would kill him- but i do also think shane throws a bit wide- and every shot seems to be a power shot - a straight- quick puncher like floyd could continuially stop him in his tracks. one thing that shane hasnt shown- is an ability to adjust midfight- when he starts to lose- he ll keep on losing- as we saw in his losses. i think nazim may have a lot to say in fixing that- as it may be strategy- but alot i think is the fact that shane is just a bit stubborn. if youre a power guy- he wants to power you, if youre a boxer - he wants to box you.

anyway i think theyre is a bout only 2 floyds that can show up that night- one that sticks and moves- and the other that sticks and runs. there is however, about 5 shanes that can show up- and that ll determine whether shane wins or not i think- cos he ll need a couple of different strategies- back and forth- to take this one. whereas floyd can stick to what he does- and alway eek out a clear but unsatisfying floyd victory.

I could respond to this so many ways. Why do people post things like this with underlying meanings, and not even get the whole picture.

First I will say without a doubt Shane would have fought Paq. without any crazy stipulations. But keep in mind Cotto was also there in the picture with a win over Shane. Paq. can't fight everyone that calls his name. Fighters want to fight him win or loose they are getting a fat check. In my mind Shane was going to be more of a challenge because of styles, but Cotto also was a very exciting match up. If Shane wins his fight you will see him and Paq in the ring

Second If Mayweather really wanted the fight all he had to do was sign the paper. Both sides had demands that were unique, But if Mayweather felt he could beat the verson of Paq. that were are watching fight he would drop the drug testing and just whip his ass for 20 to 25 mil. He might win this fight , But I think he has doubts. I will say this if it does come out that Paq is cheating he shouldn't be allowd to fight again. If Mayweather wins his fight with Shane I'm still not convinced he will fight Paq.

the whole picture is for some reason the best two fighters have tried to get fights and both were denied by team Pac....period....one is tood good coming from the trainer and the other asked for a gruesome blood test which would stop 14 days out....both tried to fight both were denied end of story.

So what Cotto beat Mosley...Mosley beat Margo and is the WW Champ...thats more than enough reason to fight....i mean lord forbid you fight the NUMBER ONE WELTER.

Secondly...you said Floyd drop the test....yes he could have but i guess your gonna sit here and tell me he had already knew Pac wouldnt take a measily drug test and again if Floyd didnt really want to fight he would have out priced himself and not even settle for 50/50 OR he wouldnt even have tried moving the date to 14 days out.....he didnt have to come up with this to get out of this fight....OUT PRICING himself was the more logical and easy route at which he would have some weight anyways. People said before the fight FLoyd would not agree to all this and that or the purse and low and behold he agrees to everything and the one stipulation tht Pac team doesnt like is a got damn drug test to show both fighters are clean yes it is more than the standard but its more conclusive as well. If you are a leader in the sport how does this not sound like a great idea not just for the fight but the sport of BOXING? And im not saying this because i think Floyd felt this way....im saying this because its how Pac could have played this even if the whole shyt was bullshyt.

So...at the end of the day...BOTH TOP FIGHTERS who tried to get a fight with Pac....were turned down:deal

there is nothing underlying about it....the shyt is point blank....its not a coincedence neither fighter couldnt get a fight.

Having a boxing addiction for 8 or so years , I have yet to see in Mosely what others love in him as a boxer. Maybe its a personal thing , but his smile that rarely seems to go away bothers me. Reminds me of someone I know who just seems to be needy or something. I hope after this fight with Floyd I see what others see.

First I never said that Mayweather knew Paq would turn down on the drug test , But it became aparent that was going to be the deal breaker. Mayweather ,if he still wanted the fight had it . Paq. said we'll fight but not by your'e rules on testing. That fight failed because of both sides.

Second the top fighters in the 147 lb division in my opinion are

Paq, Shane , Mayweather, Cotto, Berto, Clottey in no particular order. It's your opinion Shane and Mayweather are the best.

Just something to think about. If Paq. had fought and beat Shane there are going to be people claiming he ducked Cotto. " Shane was past his prime" "Cotto already beat Shane" What it all comes down to is you cant make everyone happy. There is always an excuse no matter who fights.
