For the most part of the last 100 years the Brits were the only ones that gave a crap about boxing in Europe. And for the most part of the last 100 years half of Europe (the better half) was not allowed to compete professionally.

Bute does not consider himself Canadian, he is Romanian.

Without the Klitschkos and Haye, the HW's still would not be 50/50. The only American HW to be taken seriously is Arreola (who is Mexican). Europe has Povetkin, Boytsov, Adamek, Pulev and Helenius.

number 1 most people from the uk will support the american fighters over the euro fighters as the us and uk have close ties and most of all we speak the same language......,however when there is a uk v us fighter both nations get very passionate about it...theres nothing wrong with that...,but you my friend have to realise that most of the us is made up of brits, europeans and africans

    Some dumb posts here.

    THERE IS NO RIVALRY!

It's a manufactured thing to sell tickets. Currently for the Super Six. Stop buying into this ****.

    EUROPE ISN'T A COUNTRY!

It's obvious to everyone that the USA has the greatest boxing history and all the ATGs. It's no contest.

As someone else said though, boxing is an individual sport. I may support Brit fighters more than others but between a German and an American I don't give a ****, I'll support either.

Yea, thats the only American fighter worth mentioning in cruiser.

Can you mention another American fighter?

No, you can't. And don't say BJ Flores cause for starters he ducked Adamek and he hasnt had a meaningful win scince Ding in 2008. Troy Ross either, he's not worth mentioning either.

    So in conclusion.....

I'll take Wlodarczyk, Fragomeni, Lebedev, Drodz, Huck, Alexeev, and Kolodziej over Cunningham and Godfrey(hahha)....

No doubt that Steve is "the man" in the division since Adamek left, but the calibur of Euro to American good cruisers ratio is definatly in favor of the Europeans... Com'on you should know this....

I never said it was dominated, I said it was 50/50, maybe you need some glasses?

It is 50/50. Chad Dawson is the best, true, but him and Cloud are the only American's worth mentioning. Hopkins is irrelevant for obvious reasons. Hopkins hasn't had a meaningful fight at LHW since 2008. He fought Pavlik at a catchweight and fought two bums/shot fighters in Jones and Ornelas.

The Euros have Erdei back, Brahmer, Shumenov, Diaconu and rising stars in Nathan Cleverly, Karo Murat and David Kostecki.

Its 50/50 to me, cause Dawson is a hell of a fighter, defiantly pound for pound material in the future, Cloud and Hopkins and the Euros.

How would Abraham classify as SMW's best fighter? He has one fight at SMW vs. a diminishing Jermain Taylor and all of a sudden he's hot ****?

    lol...

Bute has been dominating this division for a little while now, if anything he gets the claim to fame, not Abraham.

Euos have Bute(IBF), Froch(WBC), Stieglitz(WBO), Abraham, and Kessler, who are all great fighters...

American fighters in this division who are only worth mentioning are Dirrel, Ward, and Green(LOOOL)

Thats 3 good Americans compared to the 5 good Euros, plus Euros have 3 outta 4 belts.

    That is ridiculous. :rofl

This division is Euro dominated and it would still be if the Klits weren't here. THe Euros have some great fighters going for them in Adamek, Boytsov, Povetkin, Chagaev, and Pianeta for starters. The American hope in the HW division is who? Kingpin? Toney?

The only good Americans at HW are Arreola and Chambers.

1 fighter doesn't make the whole division dominated. The Euro to American ratio of real good cruiserweights are in much more favor for the Euros.

Another fail. Since when is Pascal American? Does Pascal even speak English, cause out of all the time's i head him he spoke in French....

This division is 60/40 for Americans.

Bute is Romanian, just like Huck is Serbian. Bute fights in Canada cause thats where the money is for him, as does Huck in Germany.

Green Ward and Dirrell are the only good Americans. And im gonna be generious adding Green here too LOL.
Kelly is the man, but atm there are more rising Euros than Americans. (Golovkin, Gevor, Sylvester, Zbik)

    50/50

Note why I brought in Terrirtories, It was to balance out population. Europe has a continental population of about 730 million people, the United States has 340 million so add in Mexico and Canada(100 and 30 million a apiece) plus most of the old territories and boom we are approaching the 700 million mark which is close enough.

Cuba was for all intents and purposes an American Territory, we backed the government(the Batista Family) and they backed us. That was until Castro came to power and overthrew the Batista's.

And the comparison comment came because of another poster mentioning the Ryder Cup.
