Never thought I'd see an amateur fight finishing 1-0.

Best of luck to the two lads and Katie in the semis.

I agree, we are now in a situation where prospects are actually talking up the prospect of Irish title fights - this can only be a good thing. I know I would rather watch fights like this than eastern european or african journeymen.

So am I, if we all remember it was me that turned Farrell on to the idea of fighting for an Irish title and targetting the Belfast duo. I encourage that.

Farrell wasnt trash talking just talking about the guys at that weight. Then Gareth slates Kieran on his facebook for calling out Wilton.

Now Kieran never said a bad word about Wilton in any of his interivews and only praised him.

    Then Gareth creates that website.

Now which one is it? Either you dont want to talk about the fight before its signed or you do, but in my mind you cant have a pop at a 19 year old kid for wanting to fight for a title and talking about who he might fight for it and then then create a website which is primarily aimed at have a pop at the kid!

Its poor form and marginally embarrassing I think.

Obviously a balance has to be found but at the same time, here we have a debate on two kids who - lets be fair - havent had alot of press before. If they can use this to their advantage, get a bit of profile, and fight each other then I cant see the problem with it. To that end I would like to see Farrell added to the Wilton card in May with a view to an Irish title fight straight afterwards.

I just read the whole thread, quite entertaining.

You were holding your own fairly well for a while, then the englishmen got on top but Barry Ballbag came to the rescue and saved your ass.:yep
