Who would of Won? Both Prime Welterweights. Great Great Fight. I think Quartey would of won. With that Jab and Chin , he had the tools to outpoint Shane. It could of happened aswell.

IMHO opinion Quartey would have boxed his ears off, frustrating Shane with his peak-a-boo style defense and excellent jab. It would look similar to his defeat to Winky, but more competitive. Shane was better at the 147lb limit, faster and more refined. He would have some moments but I see him getting frustrated not being able to hit the target.

Quartey was past his prime in 00. Shane would have beaten him clearly at that point.

Quartey's prime years were like 95-97. That version of Quartey vs the 00 Mosley, and we have oursleves a helluva fight!

There are a lot of people who talk about the jab being the key to beating Shane Mosley, and it's important, but it doesn't do the job by itself. Of Shane's 5 losses, four come against fighters with significant physical advantages, (Forrest obviously is huge for a welterweight and has great technique, and Winky has fought as high as light heavyweight) that Quartey didn't have.

I think Shane could force Quartey to engage him up close and come out ahead. As excellent as the Bazooka's jab is, I don't think that alone would hold Mosley back, and then you have factors like Ike's tendency to fade a bit late, sometimes being very repetitive and not adaptable with his arsenal, etc.

Quartey would give Mosley problems, but I think Mosley could be busy enough to possibly win a decision. Quartey tended to fight like a robot, and not change things up, he just had one speed. The fight definitely goes to a decision probably with Mosley the victor.
