    Well, they may as well be kid gloves on Martinez considering his 'power'. It won't be a problem that Martinez lands some on Kelly, it is that what he lands just ain't gonna amount to much in 'Pavlik' terms.

    Pavlik is not a great boxer nor a great champion he is a guy who showed heart in the 1st Taylor fight and a guy who showed how basic he is in the Hopkins fight!!! Other than that there is nothing special about him!!!

    All the talk about him beating Miranda and guy's like Zuniga are just showing he can compete with B level fighters!!!!

    Miranda is tough but he's just a Brawler and the same guy's Hermit and Booradley who try to give Pavlik credit for beating Miranda are the same guys who forget that Miranda was about to lose to Allen Green(if he wasn't sick) and loss to Andre Ward!!! Between those 2 they barely had 40 fights!!!

    If Pavlik loses to Martinez there will be no excuses because Martinez is a blown up WW!!!!!!

    I heard Kelly talking in the post fight interview after knocking Miranda out.
    He speaks a lot different now,almost like an alcoholic.

    Although i pick Pavlik to win (although my belief in him is starting to fade for this fight, sergio seems to really really want this fight and with Pavliks recent inactivity, add to that who knows how bad he still 'wants' it and what he was doing in his time off, im starting to see this as a much more dangerous fight then i did)

    I am hoping that Martinez can pull this off, i like his character, and like what he brings in fights. And maybe he could help inject some new energy into the middleweight division. And like he said, him, williams and pavlik may all have to battle it out (though id like to not see williams and martinez have another fight like their last, those type of fights shorten careers)

    Is it just me or did Martinez look pretty fit and ripped in that clip. It seems he is in good MW shape.


    Martinez's chin is not that bad actually. Only Margo beat him clean and that was a TKO not a KO and many years ago. Martinez also has the defensive prowess to completely neutralize powerful, hard-punching but relatively basic orthodox fighters like Cintron.

    Pavlik got more chances of getting rid of martinez than the other way around

    Cintron and Williams are natural welterweights who got caught big-time while acting stupid. That does not provide much of a basis for predicting a KO against Kelly Pavlik.
