His team were giving him 7-Up in the week leading up to the fight.

Abraham was doing the same thing & drinking coke 3 days out from the Dirrell fight but atleast he made the damn weight

If Guzman fans here need their fix, I would recommend Olusegun as a good replacement. Olusegun reminds me of Guzman, fast, flashy & has great reflexes but lacks a bit of dynamite in the fists.

Unlike Guzman though, Olusegun sticks to the rules. & before Olu takes offence at me comparing Olusegun to a fighter like Guzman, its a big compliment, cos although I hated Guzman, I always rated him. Just not as highly as the people who told me Guzman was an elite operator.

Guzman is maybe the most gifted fighter there has ever been mate.

It is well worth fantasizing about what could have been.

Olusegan is not in the same league as Guzman, who is a wasted talent. Olusegan lacks basic boxing ability. He's an athlete rather than a great boxer that just windmills punches. Guzman actually has great defensive technique and thinks about what he's doing in there.

    Was B.A.D.

If it wasnt him, it was another welshman.

I don't think Guzman is a wasted talent. Just an average fighter with some good attributes. He's always lacked certain intangibles to be truly 'elite' IMO, though his win over Soto was bloody good.

    But he's no Marcel :deal
