Silva ALWAYS fights scared! I've always hated the way he fights. Silva probably ran 3 miles that fight. He is good enough to beat anybody but totally lacks the mentality to take a chance. He would rather look like a *** and win then lose like a warrior. Chuck Liddel would never fight like that. I'm not a chuck fan either just saying. Anderson would never go out on his shield.

Are you ******ed? Anytime the strikes come at him he runs. He only 'buttscooted" when he couldn't catch Silva in a takedown. Silva needs to exchange or end a fight instead of being scared and dancing with guys who have zero stand-up.

The fight was a joke and it wasn't even Maia's fault. It was all on Silva that. He could have finishedi it in the first but instead acted like a ****. ****ing disgrace.

Edgar just had the right game plan. Everyone thought he'd use his striking and stand with Penn. I think maybe Penn thought he was winning or something - but the fact is he didn't try anything else.

Edgar was showing great movement - circling, with lots of head movement, and feints. Bobbing, weaving, and attacking the whole time. Every couple minutes or so he'd shoot in and go for a take down, plus kicks.

They were talking about how no lightweight had taken Penn down in like 6 years, then Bam - Edgar threw him on his butt momentarily in the 2nd or 3rd round. He then shot in again a couple rounds later and got another quick take down.

All Penn did was stand still and try and counter. Penn started finding his timing here and there, but never hurt him or anything. I think he lost because he just didn't try anything different but stand and counter. He didn't even throw any kicks that I remember. HE never once tried to take him down.

Penn deserved that loss. My friends and I were saying that even if the judges gave it to him, that people were going to talk about how he didn't actually "beat edgar up" - just did barely enough to squeak by. Luckily the judges gave it to Edgar - he's been my favorite mma fighter for a long time because he always fights at 100% and isn't a complete douche.

Maybe Anderson done it to get Dana White back for not letting hin fight RJJ and maybe just running down his contract without getting any damage

    I'm thinking just that.
It must be a way for Anderson to show he's displeasure with w/e White is doing.

In either case that doesn't help Anderson Silva same way it not helping UFC or Dana White.

Anderson can be the greatest most prolific fighter to ever fight in any arena but he is no warrior. He will never be held in as high a regard as most of his piers.

In this day in age, you still order PPV fights. That is a thing of the past my friend. There is software that allows you to watch every fight for free. I loved the antics in the beginning, but after a while I just thought he should have taken the man out. I still have him at P4P #1. He's clearly bored of everyone that Dana White puts in front of him.

There are plenty of people that can give silva a run like Belfort,GSP,Rampage,Rua,Machida,Maybe Bones Jones....
i hate the way silva has fought in his last 3 fight at 185,i know he gets bored and likes a challenge and if thats so he needs to vacate his belt and move up to 205

They need to STOP feeding him ground fighters with NO stand-up skills. This guy has been feed the best tailor suited comp out of anyone in MMA history and he has the audacity to say he is bored? You do know that he can call out fighters to challenge, he doesn't have to wait for Dann and Joe Silva to "match" him an opponent.

They will show this UFC card later tonight, for free, in the Philippines.

I'm still a fan of Silva.

Do you guys think that he's so good, that he's actually getting bored in there, fighting?

Like he's looking for a real challenge that will make him **** in his pants?

Or someone he hates so much that he wants to punish and torture for 5 full rounds?

Something that will really push him to the edge?
