I picked him to win but he was outworked and outclassed tonight. I think he can still become a world champion oneday, he's only 22 he just needs to learn to throw short compact punches when he's in the clinch. He needs to up his work rate just a little bit. He reminds me of Gerry Penalosa, textbook, throws nice combination's. Has the will and heart to become champion, certainly.

I thought he would beat Caballero too but it turned out Caballero has alot more dimensions than I remembered.

It doesn't take a special fighter to be world champion, Empire. Guerrero did it.

Caballero's chin was ripe to be eaten by a straight right hand. I picked Caballero to win yet I was urging Yordan to shorten his right. None the less, this kid has got a future and I agree that he can one day become a world champ.

  8. You got sucked into Lampley's bias.

Yordan hammered Caballero with some good hard shots and had him hurt in the last round. The guy can punch is ass off and like the OP said he's still young.

Yordan has huge heart and a lot of talent. He's 22 f*&king years old. He has lots of time. He just needs to learn lateral movement in a big way.

you know i watched the HBO braodcast on a foreign stream in a language i don't understand and it was 100x better than the HBO braodcast. I was really happy and could really focus on the fighting without HBO trying to shove their **** analysis down my throat

We should have the option to turn off commentary when we watch the fight

he threw a few hard punches all night that was all he did. You can't say he has a good chin because Caballero wasn't throwing very hard.

And Joshua Clottey..kid he doesn't look like the type that can multi task (do different things other than the usual).Penalosa is like that too he has low work-rate as has Clottey. They do the same things over and over again.I believe you won't see much changes with this kid. It's his temprament as a fighter to shell up and not work much.

He wasn't throwing very hard for the most part but some of those uppercuts - especially early - had hellfire behind them. Yordan can take some heat, even if he's not able to successfully dish out his own.
