Lets get these two in the ring and they can sort it out for real!

I guess we're going to have to agree to disagree.
To be honest I think they're both mediocre.
I don't think Haye physically ruined Enzo, but I think Mac's confidence took a serious dent, evidence of which can be seen in his series of interviews which followed the defeat, in which he kept trying to convince himself that a single mistake (which he never revealed) was the cause of his downfall, and that he still thought that he was the better fighter.
In his subsequent losses, he was pretty much winning every round against Afolabi, but gassed big time, and was pretty defenceless by the time Ola landed that big overhand right which ended the fight.
Against Lebedev he was stunned, and seemingly forgot how to hold on, and was battered around the ring for the remainder of the round.
I don't want to stick up for the deluded, chinny chump, but I think there might be some truth the claim that a confident Maccarinelli might've won both fights.
I would have the Maccarinelli who was beating up on faded former champs & club fighters like Bobby Gunn a slight favourite against Banks.
But as said before I don't rate either of them.
As regards Ola Afolabi's failure to knockout a lot of his early opponents, having never seen the majority of his fights, I could only speculate that his widely accepted sparring partner mentality and aforementioned low work rate might read as an explanation. I don't think he lacks power.
If he ever fights again, we'll see. He really needs a better promoter.

Haye's cruiser accomplishments are weak considering he was a unified champ.

He only had 21 fights at the weight.
I dont see how he could've done much more than what he actually achieved.

Cunninghams ****in crap.Between watching my paint dry on the wall and watching one of his fights watching the paint drying is far more exciting. He should step up to heavy and fight awful Audley.

I think this is a byproduct of a weak division in all fairness to Haye

The only 2 he didn't fight of any note were Cunningham and Adamek

Afolabi is still in the top ten for gods sake as is Maccarinelli i think or close to

Exactly. TBH though I think that Adamek is the better man at cruiser. And right now I have to say that Haye is the better man at heavy.

Cruiser weight in my eyes is just a stepping stone weight. It doesn't have much significance.. even the name sounds ******ed. 175 should be cruiser, then light heavy, and then heavy. It's kind of hard to market a "CRUISER" weight.

I think some of the thread starter's claims are hugely exaggerated, but yea, there's a solid case to be made about Adamek's CW resume being slightly better than Haye's and this is mostly due to Haye's loss to Thompson early on. Adamek's best wins are also just slightly better than Haye's. I would also argue, that if Adamek can beat Arreola, his HW resume would also be (at least) equal to Haye's..........either way, i can't wait until these two have a showdown to settle who's actually better, cause that will be the only way to find out. One thing I won't argue against: Both of them are great, dynamic fighters and even though they have defensive flaws, both are fun to watch.

My ranking of Haye's and Adamek's opponents

    1. Steve Cunningham - Adamek
    2. Giacobbe Fragomeni - Haye
    3. Oniel Bell - Adamek
    4. Jean Marc Moremck - Haye
    5. John Banks - Adamek
    6. Enzo Mac - Haye

Steve Cunningham was the best opponent when compared Adameks and Hayes resumes. Still considered the top CW today.

Fragomeni is Haye's best win at CW, mainly cause when Haye beat Enzo and Mormeck, they haven't really done much with thier careers after the loss...Mormeck is fooling around in HW, and Enzo got 2 back to back brutal KOs by Afolabi and Lebedev. Whilst Fragomeni after he got KO'd pretty brutally(but put up a real great fight) came back, owned Rossito, Kraj, got a major title(WBC) to his name and had 2 Candidates for WBC fight of the year with Zsolt Erdei and Krzysztof Wlodarczyk. Whats Fragomeni doing now? He's still fighting for titles....while Enzo is fighting for a TV spot and Mormeck is giving it a last ride in HW

Bell and Mormeck can be interchangeable I presume, but id give the slight edge to Bell...mainly becouse I think he was more closer to his "prime" than Mormeck,.but in this case it could be more to Mormeck cause Haye beat him in Paris.

    Banks is better than Enzo.

Id say their resume's are about dead even and they accomplished about roughly the same.

beside klitchko brothers i dont think anyone has a good chance to beat Haye. Haye is on the top of his game and only fights for him are the Klits right now..

If Adamek beats Arreola, id agree...

    If Adamek beats Arreola...id go...

    1. Arreola - Adamek
    2. Valuev - Haye
    3. Ruiz - Haye
    4. Estrada - Adamek
    5. Barret - Haye
    6. Shot Golota - Adamek
    7. Bonin - Haye

I wo0uld put Valuev number 1 cause he had the title and some good "victories", but honestly Valuev doesn't have a lot of skills compared to the talent Arreola has, his only problem is motivation.

Ruiz was a established champion so he comes next...Estrada is a solid contender, better than old Barret imo. Barret was in better form than shot Golota who had several arm injuries and problems. But I still think that Golota could of beaten even Bonin.

Advantage: Haye....but if Adamek beats Arreola i'd say they are dead even in terms of opponents beat

He's on "top of his game" as you say, and yet the only thing he has to show for this is an unconvincing win against Valuev and a convincing win against another unimpressive fighter, who should not even be considered a top contender. So far, through his maneuvering and through weak mandatories, Haye has had a free ride at HW. Until he faces a real contender (Arreola, Adamek, Povetkin, Chambers) I'm not prepared to say that Haye only has Klitschkos left to beat. Like I said, if Adamek beats Arreola, his hw resume becomes at least equal to DH's.

I think Adamek is/was the better cruiserweight than Haye.

Imo he beat the better fighters and also outside of Haye prior to his fight with Mormeck i would have said that Cunningham was the best cruiserweight and i would rather of seen Haye v Cunningham rather than his fight with Enzo.

Also lets not forget, Haye was never the undisputed cruiserweight as he and his gayboys always say. Cunningham was the IBF champion at the time and a waaaaay more credible fighter than Enzo:yep

Wow! You're the only poster who is actually responding to the original thread title. It's a shame that the majority of ESB posters are illiterate
trash. Thanks for not being one of them.
