All of Wlads past opponents, sides maybe Chagaev and Peter, haven't really done much with thier careers after thier brutal losses....

Byrd: Real good HW, got his ass kicked real bad vs. Wlad....comes back and gets his ass kicked by Povetkin, trys his luck at LHW vs. George, and got his ass kicked even more....

    Verdict: Ruined.

Brock: Got his ass kicked BRUTALLY, comes back beats 2 journymen and than loses a decision to Chambers. Hasn't fought scince 2 years.

    Verdict: Ruined.

Austin: Got his ass kicked in less than 3 rounds, which is unusual for a Wlad fight. Comes back beats 2 past it HW's in injured Golota and shot Williamson. Amazes me how he got a number 1 WBC ranking.

Verdict: Undecided... Only cause he looked in serious shape vs. Golota but still...he may not be ruined but hes defiantly nothing special.

Brewster II: Got his ass kicked royally, now fights 8 rounders in Germany for money, for up and coming HW's like Helenius.

Verdict: Ruined. But he was pretty much ruined after the Lyakovich fight anyways.

Ibragimov: Got his ass jabbed to death, in possibly, one of the most pathetic attempts to beat a Klit. Doesn't even bother to do a comeback. He already made his money...lol.

    Verdict: Retired.

    Thompson:
Got TKO'd late. Has a win over Witherspoon and is now fighting Owen Beck...

    Verdict: Undecided.

Rahman: Way...way.... WAYYYYY past his prime to even be in the ring with a Klit lol, but he got his ass kicked royally. But to be fair he was ruined even before this fight.

    Verdict: Ruined b4 and after

Chagaev: Got whipped vs. Klit. But is fighting a solid contender in his next fight (Kali Meehan)

Verdict: Undecided due to future fight.

Now that leaves Chambers....who is quite possibly, the most brutal KO victim of Wladimirs since the Brock fight in 2006. Will Chambers overcome the odds and come back in real good fighting shape or will he bloat up like Peter after his loss to Wlad, or will he retire, or will he be another ruined fighter?

    Thoughts and opinions?

He'd have to have been worth something before hand in order to be ruined.

I think he will come back.

The fight wasnt exactly draining but the KO was something else.

If i was Chambers i would diet down to 200lbs and fight there. If he doesnt i still think he will be a top 10 fighter at heavyweight.

I think Chambers is a boxer with a lot of potential and talent. He can still be beat Povetkin in a rematch, he needs to show more footwork and head movement. He needs a new trainer to teach him something new, probably someone like Eddie Mustafa Muhammad.

    Or Teddy Atlas!

Teddy would light a fire in Chamber's ass, but that wont happen cause he's training Povetkin..

The only thing Wlad ruined were his chances of getting back on HBO with his scary ass. Those guys weren't great to begin with so it ain't like Wlad ruined anyone. You're giving him too much credit.

Seeing as how he was completely dominated, then knocked out, more brutally than anyone on your list, I'd say its safe to say he's not gonna be the same.

This was the very definition of being KTFO. LOL

i dunno man something about the way he was KO'd that makes me think hes either gonna retire or never be the same. It was weird almost like Wlad hit the Off button on his head or some ****.

The KO meant nothing because Chambers would of lost either way, but I believe with the right preparation and the right trainer Chambers could of made the fight more competitive. No he's not done and I bet he will be wanting a rematch with Wladimir soon. And if Chambers loses again, well we can always call him another Chris Byrd. But Chambers has lot of talent and potential.

Byrd was done by the time he faced Wlad again. God (or Don King) only knows how he got the decisions in his last few defences against Golota etc. He was a fair way down the slippery slope by the time he fought Wlad.

Brock? Never that good to begin with.

Austin? Don't know if he's ruined or not. Did get a good hiding though.

Brewster 2? Shouldn't have been allowed to fight really, was a shadow of himself in this fight.

Ibragimov? Looked like a cash out fight to me. Took his money, didn't want to take a beating, so that was that. Lame effort, but stank of being a payday.

Thomson? Shouldn't be ruined. WAs ooooold when he fought Wlad, so can't be getting any better.

Rahman. Agree. Done and getting Doner...

Chagaev? Don't know. Not sure how much this whole illness thing has impacted on him. If he can't beat Meehan, then either he's really done, or wasn't that good to begin with.

I haven't seen much to suggest Wlad would 'ruin' someone. Completely outclass maybe, but not ruin. The Chambers KO was the worst looking of all. Should be a pointer to Chambers that really, he's a cruiserweight.

well, considering this is only the 2nd guy hes KO'd in the last 6 1/2 years where a guy was counted out... he doesnt KTFO of people very often for a guy that is huge .....so im sure eddie will be fine.....all 209 pounds of him. hooray for wlad it took him 12 rounds to knock out a 209 pound veryy talented cruiserweight

The 'brutality' is being overstated. These guys are ruined because their illusions of being the best are destroyed when they aren't even competitive. And Chris Byrd was just plain at the end of his career when he fought Wladimir the second time - he did OK for himself after the first fight.
