Pac has no edge over Floyd when it comes to resume's or in the 'anything' department. Until Pac beats Floyd who is the true pfp best in the world, and the true fighter of the decade, no amount of 'what is perceived as better or more convincing AFTER the fact will ever convince me that PAc is the true fighter of the decade. He's lost 3 times, two by ko, and he lost once this decade, and he wins fighter of the decade lol... Please!!!!!!!!!

PAc asked Cotto to weigh in at 145 so that tells how good he thought Cotto was. Roach wanted to weaken Cotto a bit...and now Roach has regrets!

There really wasnt much in it for me between Floyd and Pac, but I'd say the major reason was how quickly and effectively Pac made the jumps in weight and the fact that he's beaten genuine boxers at each weight. In that I mean he fought an actual welter in Clottey at welter, an actual lightwelter in Hatton at LWW. His schooling of ODLH was massive for me too. Even if ODLH was shot to bits, that quite simply shouldnt have happened and I honestly thought it was a mismatch (in ODLH's favour) prior to the fight.

I think Pac also nicked it on a couple of gaps in Floyd's CV. While I do think Floyd is awesome (and, for what it's worth, I pick Floyd to beat Pac if they do get it on), he does have names missing on his record and has been guilty of maybe not taking on the best time after time. Pac on the other hand has not cherry picked his opponents as much.

As I say, not much in it for me, but the above is why i would have given Pac the nod after much deliberation.

    Two posibilties are at play.
    1. The award is for more than what they do in the ring. Over this past decade Manny Pacquiao has become an icon outside of the ring. Yes Floyd Mayweather is a better boxer and Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton have very strong fallowings but no one has had the impact outside of the ring that Pcquiao has had.

    2. These so called experts are idoits.

I think it is a little of both.

Pacquiao's had a better career than Floyd. Deal with it.

Pacquiao has won championships at more weight classes. However he turned pro at a younger age. Mayweather has fought bette opoents and has better skills.
