I agree that there is no clear best, but if I had to guess who would eventually be crowned number 1, i'd say Andre Ward
Well Ward has been able to win against different styles in the amateurs (from what i've read), and he did show some 'old-school' moves against kessler. So i'll bet on him being the king at 168 in two years time.
There are a lot of great fighters in this division right now.. I think the top 5 or 6 guys are all capable of beating eachother on any given night under the right circumstances.. given such an international group homefield advantage plays such a big role in the fight. Currently a lot of fans are just leaning towards the fighter who has a particular style/attitude that they like more than the other fighters. The winner of the Super Six however will unquestionably be considered the "best" but I think that position will change several times over the next few years.
Yep. Bute and Froch probably have the best claim to that based on resume. Andre Ward just made a big splash, however.
How anybody thinks any of those guys can hang with Dirrell after watching Dirrell box Abraham's socks off is beyond me. Not to mention, he was completely robbed against Froch. Andre Dirrell is the best super middleweight in the world, hands down.
There is no clear best at the moment however going by terms of skill, strength etc. It has to be Bute. Ward - Very Skilled however also Very Dirty Kessler - Strong and very good textbook style but lacks footwork Froch - Relies too much on Brawling and Power. 168 version of Hatton Dirrell - Fast Hands and Foot work but cant handle constant pressure Abraham - Great chin, Great Power but starts late in fights due to his style Green, Stielglitz and Miranda - Not even worth Mentioning Bute - Best all round boxer, chins a little suspect tho
bute will get knocked out by miranda, bute is way overrated the best fighter by pure skill is dirrell, but his mentality is **** froch is the man to beat, i think kessler will get it done abraham is a machine, the guys which are counting him out after the dirrell fight are plain and simple stupid ward has great skill but he cheated his way to a win against kessler, a rematch would look way different, especially on neutral ground the final will be abraham vs kessler, if they don't meet in the semis. abraham won't lose a fight ever, if there will be a rematch with dirrell, he will knock the **** out of him. it's all like style make fights, and if anyone in the super six gets two losses and goes to the final or to the semis, i give a **** about the hating, the guys fight only the best, a lose is possible to come, but if you win that all, you are the best super middle weight fighter and p4p top 5
How can you say that Dirrell "can't handle constant pressure"? Nobody @ 168 puts on the pressure the way Abraham does, and Dirrell outboxed him all night.
