I say next time he acts like a punk like this. Give him the BJ/Edgar judges. 50-45 for the "other" guy. That would set his ass straight.

Enforce the yellow card rule like they had in pride or like dana said, put him on the undercard fight.. A champion not fighting on co-main event or main event. That would be a slap on the face by putting a champ on the undercard.

Don't put him on the main event, and don't pay him nearly as much. Instruct the ref to warn him quicker when he starts clowning and doing nothing, and take a point if he persists. Put it in his contract that if he acts like a jackass, his pay will get cut in half. Make his paycheck more weighted toward bonuses for fight performance. Hell, put his ass on probation, like they do to new hires at many companies.

Problem with most of these solutions is Silva can still control the situation and steal the round with a great explosion and then start the next round by clowning. Him acting like a jackass is very vague. Hed just say that he's being tactical and trying to bait his opponent.

Just give him a right up his anus surprise decision. This takes his belt, takes his money. Hed be back in Vale Tudo shows in Brazil in no time.

I think the best thing is really to not make him the headliner anymore. If you aren't relying on him to sell the PPV's, then you won't care too much if he spoils the show with one of his wierd performances.

btw Chimba, polevault girl is just too hot, I can't stop staring at her.

  6. Hopefully Dana has some pull with the other brazillian champs to bring him back in line. THe problems are clearly inhouse, hopefully they can be solved for the fans sake.

He needs big fights. Someone who will talk to him like a piece of **** and genuinely believe he can win. I'm think Henderson and Sonnen. In the beginning Belfort will make him respect him. I think he thinks so little of Maia, Leites etc I think he wants to be the DLH, Pac or Floyd of MMA. Big fights, where he is paid crazy money. This must be why he talks about fighting Roy in boxing.

Just dont put him in with people scared to death of him, People like Cote, Leites and Maia wont do. Sonnen, Belfort, wand even Okami, they would of gone for it.

What he really should of done was stay at 205 and fight them guys, MW is a dead weight now he has cleared it out.

Why should the champ pretty much have to make the fight exciting if he is winning? surely its on the guy who wants to take the belt and trailing on the cards.

I would cut Silva from the UFC. No doubt about it. He has disrespected the fans, the sport and his employers.

Ideally, he get's beatup for five rounds by Sonnen and then cut.

That would be a thing of beauty.

Just stop putting him in with BJJ experts and guys who are unwilling to engage him.

The 2nd round of every fight starts with the two fighters on their knees facing eachother, locked into a wrestlers clinch. That should make the strkers push to end it in the 1st and it would even the playing field between ground fighters and strikers with good TDD.

Exactly. We all knew this was going to be a stinker of a fight as soon as it was signed.
