From Caballero's last performance its hard to imagine him keeping Juanma off of him. He seems to not be able to keep an oncoming boxer at the edge of those long arms long enough to put him away and on the inside his punches are almost slaps. I think Juanma would put him away quite early.

    Thoughts?

Hes pretty multi dimensional. I think he would give Juanma a lot of trouble with his style. He can box at range and mix it up well on the inside and has a good chin. He just throws punches so poorly, if someone can teach him to straighten out those punches he could be a monster.

I feel the same way, its just a problem of straightening out those punches before calling out a man like Juanma. As Trinidad once said, everyone likes to call on the devil but no one wants to actually see him. :deal

I think as soon as he feels Juanma's or Yuriorki's power his fight plan will go straight to hell. But he did look great against that kid this weekend. Of course the kid's fight plan was to throw the ocassional overhead punch and hope for a miracle. You can't beat Caballero with that fight plan

MAYBE, then again, remember what Mtagwa did.....One thing is for sure, Juanma is NOT the monster I thought he was and reminds me a bit of J. Taylor, he gases badly at the late rds. Not only with Mtagwa, but I remember with Penalosa he was noticeably beginning to slow down and when interviewed he said he was trying to save energy for the later rds, hmmmmmm.... and last but not least, in his last outing with Luevano he was already beginning to look sluggish by the 5th rd when he luckily enough scored the KO.... I wish the best 4 him but I don't think he'll do very good at the big stage.... Against Caba he's got a chance at the first half, once the fight is past that treshold, I think it'll be more & more difficult 4 him to win that one, and if he does, then his next step up would be with Gamboa, and thennnnn, then there will be no more Juanma hype.... I'll bet the house, cars and retirement savings on that one..:p

Caballero looked good, hes throws high volumes of punches. Good hard countering would make his slow down. Dood close fight w/ Juanma

    Hell yes he would!

Why do you think JuanMa shits his pantalones at the mere mention of Caballero's name?

He won't fight him, because he;s truly scared shitless of the man, but if the day comes that they do fight, Caballero beats the **** out him, because JuanMa would come into the ring fully intimidated.

Caballero look good last saturday night but the way he fought, he won't beat Lopez. People still mention Mtaga? Lopez was killing himself to make weight for goodness sake. I see Lopez beating Cab cause Cab doesn't use his height advantage at all and has a terrible feather fisted jab While Lopez is a better boxer with a far better jab and imo has the better pop.

Caballero did a lot of pitty pat punching at the weekend that wasn't impressive. Maybe that was because of the defensive posture of his opponent who covered up pretty well at times. That being said when he does sit down on his punchers they do have some snap.

really? I thought Caballero looked awesome.

Pitty pat punches? He seemed to be throwing some pretty heavy leather. And his jab was constant with alot of snap. I thought he fought a great fight against an underrated opponent. Lopez being a southpaw might be the difference maker. If he can blindside Caballero with that right hook, Caballero is in trouble. Apart from that I think I would make Caba the favorite.

I've been saying for a long time now that Caballero is the guy who would give Juanma the most problems, but that Juanma is also the guy who would give Caballero the most problems. Now that they're up at feather, I guess you can throw Gamboa into that mix as well for both of them, but I think Juanma-Caballero would be a pretty even fight, especially if Juanma is able to get back to his old form. He really hasn't looked all that great since the Penalosa fight though.
