This is true. But as a fan I just want this fight that I'm on the complete wrong end to be spectrum to be wanting unrealistic things. They will fight it out on the negotiation table as much as they will in the ring.

I fear if Wlad demands too much that Haye walks away.

I've never met a casual boxing fan who has any clue who he is. THough the Klitschko are far from household names, most fans have an idea at leat of who they are.

Klitschko - CHAGAEV (for the Ring title no less) was completely ****ed over by ... DAVID HAYE. Originally Wlad was slated to fight Haye (the first time, remember) but without Haye HBO wasn't willing to pay the money for the match-up because HBO has a bunch of morons in their fight scheduling department. The fight was then offered to ESPN which put it on Classic because the fight came to them on such short notice they couldn't bump their scheduled programs off ESPN 1 and ESPN 2.

You need to get your sad sack self outside...live your life! Really, this might be big news on East Side Boxing between 500 boxing fans, many of them from the UK...But it's nothing in the scheme of things. There are entire continents, like North America, who have no clue who David Haye is.

The rematch clauses should actually sweeten the deal for Haye since he claims he wants to fight both brothers anyway.

In america the average fan dont even know who Wlad is, if it wasn't for that chick he was dating awhile back. Almost noone would know who he is. Wlad and Haye are on the same playing field here.

Most casual American boxing fans think the Klitschkos are one person that's from Russia...................sad but true. At least they've heard of him/them where most don't even know who David Haye is at all.

Okay, I exaggerated. But he's going on the other direction. His last fight wasn't on HBO. The fight before was on ESPN Classic for Christ Sake. HBO is done with him.

That might be true. Recently I read an interview with Greenburg, who is the president of HBO boxing. He claimed that the reason he didn't show Wlad's last few fights was because his numbers were down since his brother came back. Apparently, he claims, fans in the US were slowly starting to accept him as the legit champ, then his brother returned and everybody got confused. It sounds like a pretty reasonable explanation to me. I mean, there is no doubt that Vitali's return has taken the spotlight, however dim it may have been, off of Wlad and split it between the two. The result is that no of them have made an forward progress with American fans...

That's not true at all. Then again, you're in Pittsburg...the armpit of America. The Klitschko certainly aren't popular here, but most casual fans have at least seen them fight. No casual fan I have ever met has seen a Haye fight.

No that's not true. They do know who he is, but want absolutely nothing to do with him. That is worse.
