Just read that Caballero's fight wasn't sanctioned by the WBA at the weigh-in, so he didn't get the interim belt at feather.

Essentially what it meant was that Caballero would've been Gamboa's mandatory.

Hopefully Caballero goes after John and Gamboa fights Lopez so we have a de facto 126-pound tournament, with the winners having no other options money or prestige wise BUT to fight each other.

hahaha while i was watching the fight, I figured that Gamboa would not step into the ring with Caballero in his next fight. Lets see if I was right.

The WBA needs to cut it with their "Interim,Regular,Super" Champ BS anyways. You should name an Interim if the current beltholder can't defend and then pick a regular champ with a unification when he can defend if they don't strip him.WBC is trying to be slick and do the same thing but their reasons are absolute **** and their belts are just as worthless in presitge.

Thats just a tool the WBA uses to take more money from different fighters.. interim, regular or super champ they all have to pay the organization fees.. boxing is crooked but is has been crooked for ever and nobody does anything

Ideally speaking, absolutely I agree. Like back in the day,one belt, one champ, fight the Man to be the Man.But I was just referring to the WBA's BS 3 champ system, let alone the crap that's wrong with the other sanctioning bodies. If they got rid of their super champ crap and have John and Gamboa fight to unify so there's only 1 Friggin WBA champ,it'd be less aggravating to me as a fan.
