This is what i mean, Kevin Nolan has been chasing the england dream for years, now he's realising it's not gonna happen and is going to settle for ireland.

Same as Onuhua playing for Nigeria just so he can play in the WC.

But if we take it back to boxing, i feel the lines are far more blurred, it's not country v country it's just 1 man. I don't mind the irish supporting our fighters and vice versa.

Whoa there! Ye're team is better but I'm fairly sure we'd raise our game against ye. Just like last time we played, winning one nil and those lovely fans of yours, renowned for being so friendly, thrashed our stadium because they couldn't handle the fact that they were losing to a C/D team. Which would have been the second time in a row we beat ye!!

The Irish do pretty well for a country of their population. It's becoming boring beating ye in the rugby at this stage! :good

My original point was valid; that an individual's accent is not necessarily relevant as regards issues of nationality; Lennox Lewis is a prime example as a couple of people have already noted.
As regards racist comments if anybody is stupid enough to post any such comments, **** 'em.

To be fair you've had some outrageous decisions go in your favour.
I'm thinking in particular of that match in the six nations when the TMO ****ed up on three occasions.
And we bottled it big time this year.
Oh well, we'll have to console ourselves in the knowledge that we do it when it matters.

lennox lived in london until approx the age of 10-11 and then moved to canada, which is more or less an american accent and he lived there until he became a prominent boxer. so it is not surprising that he get labelled as he does.
what rankles with me is nationality with some people is what is conveniant. any way good night god bless, off to get the cucmbers out
