Asking Pac for a fight. He's only 26 and if he fights Pac he'll get killed and his career is over. He might get the biggest purse of his career but after the fight he is totally done. He should fight a few more decent fighters and improve before facing the wolves in the division. If guided properly Berto might end up a decent fighter until he retires....

why would his career be over. This **** about a career being over after 1 loss is crazy. Even a KO loss.

It's amazing that Pacquiao is so great now that good fighters shouldn't even bother calling him out because fighting him will result in them being permanently ruined.

imo, pac and berto fight just alike...except pac is more accurate with his shots...i dont see technique or skill there when i watch them, i watch guys who beat their opponent on athleticism alone.

Could Pac deal with a stronger, aggressive opponent with fast hands and power a good right hand. LOL I bet Pac would not entertain this fight. Although it would be a good stay busy fight...since Berto would be so easy...lol

True. I think Berto is a little better defensively and that aint really by much. But Pac is a better puncher. Berto can hurt your ass though. So Pac aint taking his uppercuts like Clottey's.. That **** wont happen.

Pac would probably win. Even if I think Berto could land the right punches to take Pac out. Pac has been in with better fighters and shown he can stop top tier dudes. Berto could only stop low level guys. BUT. I think Berto's positives can capitolize Pac's negatives to make it a fight.

Both are explosive with their attacks but have little else in common.

honestly I think Pac would take Berto to school and prove to the world that he's in a completely different class. Probably even stop him. I hope it happens though since its a unification but its not the most interesting fight for Pac. I don't see Berto winning more than 2, maybe 3 rounds tops.

Margo stops Berto in brutal fashion if he still has a chin.

Pac's a much more skilled fighter than Berto. Better footwork/movement, timing, punch placement, accuracy, ring IQ, defense, body punching, understanding of range/distance...not to mention his proven ability against a much higher class of opposition. In another league really.

That said, the fight happening would be great. Nothing wrong with it. A loss for Berto, which would probably be by way of KO, wouldn't spell the end for him. He's still young and can hang around for another title shot and some fights that'll add to his bank account. And once these top dogs retire, he'll be in the mix with Alvarez, Jones, maybe some 140 pounders moving up, etc.

I'd rather see it than Pacquiao-Margarito.

Mayweather/Berto would happen long before Pac/Berto would. However, as you said TS, Berto will never have the oppourtunity to make the kind of money he would fighting Floyd or Manny. If I was Berto, I would sign that contract in a second.
