Berto vs. Cotto

I'm not so sure now. I really want to see how he does against Foreman, as I feel like Cotto's already past his prime. Prime Cotto stomps Berto. Current Cotto, it would be a close fight. I suspect Cotto would still take it with more accurate punching, but Berto might just overwhelm him with speed.

 

Pickem fight to be honest, like I said the other night. Both have shitty defense with shaky chins. This fight could go ether way.

I think Berto takes this right now by wide UD. Pre-Margo, Cotto by KTFO.

 

this is a fight that needs to happen ASAP. But Berto would steamroll cotto as he has a vicious soultaking uppercut and cotto is a sucker for a great uppercut. not to mention berto's chin is more solid and hands are much faster.

 

Yeah, I guess for some ppl Berto would beat a prime Tyson as well...

i don't believe that bertos speed could overwhelm cotto. he's fast but it can be timed. its not like pacs speed that its very hard to time

 

I think this would be a great fight, Berto is more than capable of giving Cotto some scary moments but in the end I think this is the fight that could bring Cotto back to his old form. I see one of the best victories for Cotto in this one honestly.

 

true, but cotto chin is probably more shaky considering the damage hes taken over the past few years and berto is relatively fresh.

Cotto finds that chin with left hooks all night long... stoppage somewhere around the 7th.

 

Cotto's timing would probably negate Berto's speed, if I had to guess.

 

I think Cotto hurts him before Berto hurts Cotto. I have to go with Cotto maybe mid round KO.
