Floyd specifically included a clause in his fight contract with Mosley that if he loses, there should be a rematch.

What's the purpose of Floyd asking a rematch clause with Mosley?

    - Rematch Money. If he can't outbox Mosley, he will run all night, loses and still gets a rematch.

    - Prevent Mosley of having a big fight with another boxer.

    - Floyd not confident enough if he can outbox Mosley.

    - Pride. If ever he loses, he wants to avenge it immediately.

    - Wants Mosley to beat him twice.

    - Other reasons.

But it didn't mentioned that if Mosley loses, there should be a rematch too. Is this working only one way?

Is this also applicable if Mosley loses the fight? It seems the fight contract is biased towards Floyd.

I hate it when boxers specifically asked for a rematch clause. A rematch will happen if it's really warranted like the situation you mentioned above. Boxing fans will clamor for a rematch if its really needed.

mosley takes a lob sided loss hes will hang them up

and if maywether wins convincingly pac has to man up and the mega mega fight will be on

a dq , bad decision ( a real one not just a close fight that didnt go your way) a cut in favour of floyd will in all result in a rematch anyway imo

  10. So he'll have a new excuse to duck Pacquiao.

He has a rematch clause in the contract so people will think there is a chance of him losing.

He knows hes gonna win. Otherwise he wouldnt of took this fight. But if he puts a rematch clause in the mix, it'l get everyone talking and asking questions like this thread is.

Mayweather is smart, he's not gonna blow a fight against Pacquaio. He picked the perfect interim fight to make a fight with pacman even more intersting, cause a win over Shane is a great win and will only make things more intersting with Pacquaio, ECSPECIALLY if Floyd looks any sort of vulnerable against Mosley.

God It'd be nice if I'm wrong and Mosley scores an upset though cause I'll still be routing for one...

Why would Floyd wants some form of insurance? Does Floyd considers Shane a high risk opponent? Isn't it Floyd said that Shane an easy fight?

Again this should work both ways. If Mosley wins, I think he deserves to have a crack on PAC too. He just eliminated Floyd in the equation.
