...at the same exact height and weight of course. Say the female is the best in her respective weight class, and the male is just kicking off his pro career...

...this question comes from a sports science video someone posted the other day, where it was shown that Lucia Riker punches just as hard as a man - that, and I had a slight argument with a chick in the gym today regarding this. Personally, I think the entry-level man takes it. Despite the fact that the female may weigh the same as him, most likely, she wouldn't be as strong, fast, or be able to take his punches as well as he could take hers.

Keep in mind I'm talking about a male who is entry-level, but still has a significant amount of boxing experience in the amateurs. Obviously, a top-tier female boxer would wear out a male who has NO boxing experience.

A top 10 straweight male fighter would beat the **** out of Lucia Rijker who is a middleweight i think.

Hard to tell, and a good question by the way. I'll go for the top tier female to win it especially if the entry level male boxer had an awful amateur career.

So, you kind of asked and answered a question at the same time, but I agree with you. Example. A new featherweight prospect with any amatuer experience would brutally KO ina menzer. The women's champ at 126, and
IMO the best female p4p fighter on earth. Women athletes just can't compare even close to a male athlete. That's why the ***** needs to get
in the kitchen and fix me a damn sandwich.

There is some ****en **** pro fighters out there that had semi decent amateur careers.... believe that. I think it would be close... i am tipping towards the female. She could probably bring it out to a points decision.

I think the guy would probably win. What thread was that by the way?

I don't think we answer the question so simplistically, as styles would come into play still

That girl could knock fighters out. Interesting to note however that women generally have thicker skulls then men (see prior threads discussing science of the 'chin'). In terms of the athlectic part of boxing obviously men would be superior to women but the chin aspect is not so clear cut.

Women have thicker skulls in the forehead area, but the chin/jaw area is much weaker

    Man please...

You guys can overthink this all you want, but a professional guy, who has had any decent training at the professional level is gonna smoke that hoe. Period.

With all other variables equal, Male muscles are far superior in development, due in part to natural testosterone levels. A man has naturally better punch resistance, due to lower-facial and neck structure. A male boxer with maximum intensity training is going to cut through the female boxer.

edit: the only part of the equation that is equal on a female's behalf is respiration. Men and women have the same respiratory endurance p4p.

An enlightened response. But the fact is that women are quite competitive in a number of sports. In track and field, female runner are close to their male counterparts....Even in the marathon, the female champ often finishes just a few minutes behind the male.

The most important difference is and always will be upper body strength. Women are only about half as strong as men in the upper body. As you might expect, they also can't gain muscle nearly as quickly as men....unless they're on roids.
