Froch never mentally broke down, he won the fight. Abraham never broke down until the final punch and that wasn't really his fault. I think in terms of toughness Froch is the toughest of the super six. Sure his backround might not seem tough to some of us, but compared to the other boxers of the super six maybe he had experiences which were worse.

As for Kirkland given his level of opportunity there was no reason for him to be living in the ghetto or carrying a gun. Mike Tyson and other boxers came from environments and situations as bad as his and did not go around carrying a gun. You can say that maybe his life was in danger but when you are a boxer you can move. Boxers don't get paid a lot of money but they make a decent enough amount of money to not have to remain in the slums.

That being said any young male in the slums can be caught on a gun charge if the situation calls for it. We should just be glad that Kirkland did not end up like Vernon Forrest.

Abraham by far had the toughest childhood. The US and the rest of Europe is like girl scout camp compared to where Arthur grew up.
